Anonymous, 08 May 2023Is this phone worth buying even it will longer receive updates??Unless you run a business on your phone or go to a lot of sketchy websites or load apps from unknown sites then you don't need the security updates. The phone will work fine. Companies try to scare people with security update support to get them to buy their newer products when they don't need to.

Anonymous, 08 May 2023Is this phone worth buying even it will longer receive updates??The phone will still get security updates, but if you want the latest OS version you could get the Exynos variant and install it manually, but the OS version of this phone is very modern and will last many years.
Also the S10+ still a recommended phone to get.

do you turn on enhanced processing so the os will run more smoothly in android 12? and if you did, does it drain battery faster? even with a brand new replaced battery?

The prism versions that are have glass in the back, and the ceramic version that have ceramic, also the ceramic versions are more expensive due to storage capacities that can go up to 512GB/1TB and 12GB of RAM compared to the 128GB and 256GB with 6/8GB of RAM of the prism versions.
The S10+ ceramic edition also was called "performance edition", because of that extra features.

I owned this phone close to a year now and then booom "moisture detected" and it won't go away even after several weird maneuvers to clean and dry the port.
Visited official Samsung stores and I was told to that I have to replace the motherboard.
Apparently the charging system, mouth piece plate is molded to the motherboard,.
I have to charge it wirelessly, but guess what? The mouthpiece too is dead, RIP.
Best phone I've ever had till now. I'm still phoneless due to the cost of another motherboard.

Even I still hold my old S6 edge+ as a second hand device, and I will hold it until it dies.

Bought the S10+ August 2019. Still standing very strong. Changed the battery 2weeks ago because the old one was swollen and the backcase got pushed out. Very easy using a YouTube guide. With the new battery, I get over 20hours. Might have to ride it for another 2years. I have no plans changing it until it dies. Exynos Edition. I think this phone was made ahead of time.

The S10/Note 10 Exynos aren't affected, you should be glad no to have Qualcomm with a locked bootlader.

The latest official update for the S10 series is Android 12, he could install Android 12, but since his model is Qualcomm, receive updates more later and sometimes never, you could install One UI 5 ROM with the Exynos variants.
