Love this phone but after 3 years the battery is quite bad, even if I use the phone seldomly. Is there any ROMs that optimise for this?

            Best phone I've ever had!
Don't care about the battery - with bigger one the phone will be bigger and heavier.
In case of necessity of prolonged usage I take my power bank with me. In any case - I don't use any of en-slavery apps like T1kt0k, Inst4gram, F4ceb0ok, nothing. I don't scroll internet like a robot just to get some kind of gratification from virtual reality. I spend time in nature, breathe, enjoy LIFE, not electronic devices.
With such life style, I can easily go 4-5 days without charging - but turning off internet, when I don't need it, don't do 100 photos per day, because I have my eyes and don't chat for hours, because I like HUMAN CONTACT.
And the performance of this phone is just AMAZING! concerning speed of use, just lovely and smooth.

Updated to lastest a12 tested for about a week i can tell the battery drain faster less SoT then i reverted back a10 oneui 2.0 much better..not worth upgrading android for me..

Got one of these for free a while back after AT&T stopped supporting my old phone and this thing takes anything you throw at it (wii emulation is hit or miss, if that's your kinda thing, but 6th gen consoles work well).

When people buy a new phone, they usually want the most recent releases, but frankly, you'll probably get much more bang for buck if you go for the older devices like this since there's less demand for em.
AMOLED screen is beautiful and despite being slightly smaller than the S10 I consider this to be the Goldilocks zone if you're looking for something a bit larger that can fit in a pocket. Fingerprint unlock works nicely, SD card compatibility is very much appreciated, and the OS is very snappy. Backfacing camera gets the job done, but the front facing camera is somewhat sub-par. on a full charge, I get around 3 days of battery with around 4 1/2 hours of screen time (typically browsing the internet and watching videos).

There may be some better phones out there under $200 if you look hard enough, but if this is an option you're considering and you can find it under $150, I don't see any reason you'd end up regretting it unless your primary focus is photography maybe. I can easily see myself using it for around 4+ years without wanting any sort of upgrade.

Guys, what is the risk of having no more security patches/updates fo s10 series?
Is it dangerous or safe to use?

Because i am still undecided to buy the s10e because i am afraid of having no more security update.

                                  Thank you guys,

Spgond, 29 May 2023Been using s10e since 2019. So its been 4 years and no issu... moreTrue, I don't agree with the idea of removing the headphone jack from the phones, some people will say "You could use the wireless headphones"; yes I know that I can use them, but they can't be used for too long since they need to have being charged, also they are generally more expensive and for the people who don't have good income can be very difficult, also in emergency situations or in useful situations I my wireless headphones are discharged I could use the wired headphones.
Apart from that, I think you should get the S10 5G if you want a 5G phone, but is you want a smaller phone, you could buy a Galaxy S20 (the normal one; base model) with 5G there's one variant that offer it, or the Galaxy S21 (the base model); or if you have a good budget go for the S22 base model or the S23 base model.

Been using s10e since 2019. So its been 4 years and no issues at all. The size and weight is just perfect. I wish samsung still made this sized phones. Everyone is going bigger and now when i want to replace this phone (mainly due to 5g) i cant find anything this size and weight:-( iphone mini is an option but i dont like apple phones so i am kind of stuck as to buy which phone next! Was waiting for s22 then s23 but none of them came with a mini version. I hope samsung can at least offer one compact phone be it S series or A series instead of just keep launching all of them in same size n looks. I am sure some ppl like their phones reasonably sized. Regarding s10e i have no complaints it does the job. I dont use games so cant say about that. But other regular things like browsing n watching videos etc everything working fine. No heating issues no lags. Screen n speakers fine. Battery may seem smaller but lasts most of the day and i have fast fharger in the car so i am rarely short of battery life. It still has audio jack which is now becoming obsolete. New phone i buy will be without the aud jack. Dont know why samsung follows apple blindly. Apple removes jack or adapter samsung also follows. Its not good tactic to follow other company blindly. It is not good for ur customers samsung. What u were giving free u r charging for it now! Environment thing is just a veil to sell adapters separately. Wish someone files a suit against these companies who take the buyers for a ride.

This phone looks so goofy, but its soooo good, has all the features that new phones lack like microsd and headphone jack and also being compact, it cost like 130 on amazon, even worth buying if you need a second phone for storage or headphonejack or something.
