1. system wide dark mode
2. 2G network (as am at home so wifi works for data). 4G networks are still spotty in India.
3. Screen at 10% brightness, adaptive brightness switched off. Switched on only when on the road
4. High contrast wallpaper on screen
5. Medium power saving mode enabled
6. Adaptive battery enabled, put unsed apps to sleep enabled
7. Put app to sleep enabled individually for most power draining apps identified from battery menu
8. Location services turned off. App permissions checked to enable "location access when in use" only, not all the time
9. Wifi and bluetooth scanning off
10. Camera enabled screen unlock off. Only fingerprint and pattern lock enabled.
Took about a week to start showing impact on battery life. Read through my comments below too.

Rony sur, 01 Nov 2020Ghosh Da I am from Bengal hooghly district I am confused b... morePlease don't bother upgrading to the S20 Fe. The battery life is a little to early to speak of. I have an S20 Fe and my brother has the S10 lite. He doesn't have a reason to be jealous of me as the phone has just the 120hz display and dual speakers as extras. He has the bigger display. But the difference is tiny. Both have the same battery capacity. The chips are manufactured on the same process node.

Rony sur, 01 Nov 2020Ghosh Da I am from Bengal hooghly district I am confused b... moreChinese phones were never a consideration for me. So my choice was either the S20 FE or S20+..i went for the FE because 1) it was cheaper 2) It's battery had to power a smaller screen so would be battery life would be theoritically better than S20+ 3) Optical fingerprint scanner was better than the ultrasonic ones 4) Choice of colors. Initially i was disappointed with the battery life, but i now see the phone adjusting, and i am getting 5.5-6 hrs SOT...this will improve further.
The FE did not have a case or earphones.
The 8T has the SD845, so it will probably perform better than the S20FE, but the FE has better cameras, better resale, and is not Chinese. The last factor itself is good enough for me.

In India 5g feature is pointless now and next year especially in rural towns . Which phone would you suggest me . did you get complimentary silicon tpu case and earphone bundled in the box like last year's s10 lite ? Do you regret not choosing op 8t over 20fe? I have heard onepluse has no service centre across Bengal except for the ones in Kolkata downtown is this true? Please reply I hope to upgrade my S10 lite with Snapdragon 855 chipset.

Update- I see improvement in screen on time. I am now getting close to 5.5 hrs, up from 4.5 hrs last week. Some more setting changes done- full dark mode, remove location access, 60 hz, medium power saving, apps put to sleep when not in use etc.
Heating issue has reduced too. Fingers crossed, hope for more improvement as the phone learns my usage and adapts.

I do not know where you've got this information, but 8/256 variant is not available in Europe. Even Samsung's official site has no idea about such variant. Please, make that it doesn't end up in search list.

Umm hi guys, I’m currently looking to upgrade from my iPhone 7 to s20 fe exynos version. I don’t know if I should because I have been hearing that the s20 fe 4g is overheating, draining power fast has lag from time to time. I would appreciate it if someone could help me choose to keep my current iPhone 7 and look for another phone or just buy the s20 fe. I also have my eye on the iPhone 11

I think battery life would honestly be perfectly fine here, less than the Snapdragon one but not too bad either. The Note10 has stuff like the S-pen, but this one has high refresh rate, more power, and a better camera setup. Depends on what you want.

From what I've read the 4500mAh battery work is quite bad beacause of Exynos 990 (even on 60Hz mode on). That's why I'm thinking on getting other phone - Galaxy Note 10 (Exynos 9825). Do you guys think it will have better SOT despite the smaller battery (3500mAh)? Or S20 FE 4G will work longer even with its overheating and draining battery problems?

I got the s20 fe 4g version and it has overheating issues whilst doing mundane tasks like watching videos on youtube. Especially beside the cameras. The battery is also draining too fast. Even when using 60 hz instead of 120hz setting. My previous poco f1 was way better than this.

It is unfortunate that the non Chinese Andorid manufacturers have been almost wiped out- atleast from the India market, due to which options are within Samsung only given that i am iOS averse. I have better expectations from the 2021 Exynos models, and will look to change soon if Samsung does not fix it.
BTW i did a SOT test yesterday- got about 4.5 hrs, with basic wifi, low screen brightness, medium power saving, 60 hz, 2G network, use only when required types. Let us see if this improves.
