Should I flash custom rom onto this device once a One UI 6/ Android 14 custom rom is published?
I can still use magisk to hide safetynet so this makes it more safer to do so
I have lineageOS of Android 13 on my backup S8 and it does so well there. I wonder if I should do the same about my main S20 FE 5G since its support its about to end, let me know what to do so

Never let battery below.20% and even when battery is at 85% , notifies Charging paused, I don't think it's actually pausing, it good to disconnect the phone from charging at 84% n never leave the phone on charging thinking that it pauses at 85% and won't damage the battery

I bought mine in July 2022. I get 6 to 6.30 hours of screen on time when the device is always connected to 5G network, 120hz always on, no power savings. When the device is connected to only 4G network, 120hz on and no power savings then I get nearly 8 hours of screen on time. The software of the device is up to date. I am using 25W Samsung original charger and cable to charge my device from day 1. It charges my device completely in nearly 1 hour. I charge my device up to 100%.
I paid full price for the device, I am gonna use the device to its full potential. When the battery wears off, I am gonna simply get it replaced from Samsung.

It was the first time from purchase (September 2022) when battery dropped to 8% and suddenly it was dropping further 1% per minute or less. Last 3% were lost literally in seconds.
From the beginning I'm using 85% battery care (though I charge it to 100% once or twice a month), never discharged it to 0% before and never leave it connected for the night. I suppose that in spite of all those careful procedures battery is slowly starting to wear off.

Today I realised ( kind of shocked ) that my battery of s20 fe 5g is going down from 10% to 1% in 5 minutes. Usually I keep charging between 20% to 85%, so never had a chance to find.
My phone is still under warranty however going to service center and spending time and energy seems tiring. But this is strange to see as device is few months used. I am not heavy user. Does anyone else facing the same issue ?

Anonymous, 02 Apr 2023The Bluetooth of my S20 FE 5G is not turning on. Is someone... moreI don't have any issues at all other than the horrendous 3% / hr battery drain overnight even on standby with power saving mode on. Samsung service center says they will need to replace the motherboard , amoled screen and the charging port at a cost higher than the price I bought my S20 FE brand new if they are to solve the problem.
Being out of warranty, and no more software support to correct or even just allevaiate a bit, the battery drain problem, I've decided to dispose of my 256GB S20 FE 5G and traded it with an S23+ 256GB, with the S20 FE getting a trade in value of half the price I paid for it. I still had to pay additional cash, but given the S23+'s retail price, it's still a great deal since they gave additional promo discount off the retail price in addition to the trade in value of my S20 FE 5G, and they even added a Galaxy watch 5 - 44mm for free as a part of the trade in promo. The cost of the watch 5 itself and the trade in value already exceeds the original price I bought my S20 FE 5G 256GB for.
So I suggest that those having issues (Bluetooth, battery drain problem, etc.) with their S20 FE 5G after the latest OneUI 5.1 update, trade in their S2 FE 5G because the phone is already unsupported and whatever battery drain or software issues it has, it's no longer going to be fixed or alleviated by any future software update from Samsung since it's no longer supported.
As a bonus it's good news also since you won't have to linger anymore in this forum which has a rabid S20 FE 5G fanatic lurking behind who attacks legit S20 FE users who report probleme or criticize the defects of the phone model (S20 FE 5G) he also happens to own. 🤣

Google Assistant and Samsung Bixby have many overlapping functions.
Is it advisable to activate Google Assistant and disable Bixby?
Will it hamper operation of the phone in terms of speed and/or reduced functionality?

[deleted post]No, because of the following reasons (in India) -
1.) The device supports only n78 SA 5G band so if you want to use Jio sim in this device, you will have to settle with only one 5G band. n78 SA 5G band has low indoor coverage. And also, when connected to the same n78 SA 5G band, the device has low 5G coverage as compared to other devices like Galaxy F23, M33, OnePlus Nord 2 and many more. I tested it myself. Others are facing the same issue, search the issue in Samsung Members app.
2.) The device doesn't support the most commonly used 2300 + 2300 mhz 4G carrier aggregation used by Indian Operators so the 4G Carrier Aggregation support is negligible. 4G carrier aggregation rarely works on this device. Search S20 FE 5G carrier aggregation issue on Samsung Members community and you will understand the issue.
So, overall, this device has network issues.
3.) Android 13 is the last Android OS update for this device and it will not get further Android OS update. If you like latest software updates then device is not for you. Ignore the person who is telling you to buy this device, he has no knowledge of these issues.
Suggestion - 10-12 days ago, S21 FE was selling for ₹30000 here in india, wait for next sale, that device is worth it below ₹ 30000.
Also, don't buy A, M and F series smartphones above ₹25000, they are not value for money above that price, the data collection techniques used by Samsung in those devices are agressive and also they have 3rd party bloatware issues.

[deleted post]I suggest ignore such comments made by him. Let him type as if he wrote the entire code. I have been seeing comments by him since few months.
You tried to make him understand but none cannl do anything if someone is not ready to learn. Even I commented mentioning "Dear techies". Yes he dislikes whenever someone critices s20 fe 5g. Only few people understand the importance of criticism and the way to take it.

[deleted post]All phones get older over time and Samsung does not provide updates for lifetime to any phone model. These are the real facts. If you see this, you cannot buy any phone.
