There is no way I would want to use the headphones I used fifty years ago, back in the early seventies. Heck I wouldn't even use the ones I had five years ago.

Besides why would I need to. I get a free pair of wireless buds every time I buy a new Galaxy S phone anyway.

RandyRiffin, 25 Jan 2022Guys, I have noticed that Samsung made a compact A10e and A... moreI would say that is unfortunate. I was hoping the S22 would stay the same size or get slightly larger. Not smaller. Because of the smaller size I am considering not trading in my S21 for an S22. And waiting for the S23.

Although it really depends on the price. If the rumored price is $100 more than the S21 then I probably won't get the S22. Unless the trade in vale of my S21 is increased. If I can get a 256GB S22 for $300 after trade in. Which would be the same price my launch 256GB S21 cost after trade in. Then there is still a good chance I will get the S22.

tituskl, 23 Jan 2022In the most ideal circumstances, i.e. AirPods, wireless bud... moreI've been using BT ear pieces for many, many years. With multiple Galaxy S models. From LG, Sony, and now Samsung. They have all paired with any phone I've owned with zero issues. I pair it once. Then it pair automatically when I turn it on. BT pairing has always worked great with my BT ear pieces and my Galaxy S phones.

Guys, I have noticed that Samsung made a compact A10e and A20e, but didn't make a S20e, just makes me mad. They could easily. But they didn't. Fortunately, they are making the S22 small.

Anonymous, 23 Jan 202299% of people don't care about the "quality"... moreOkay? And is that 1% worth removing basic functionality over? That 1% you're describing includes people like the disabled and elderly. That 1% includes people who would rather spend $50 on a great sounding pair of headphones that will last their actual entire lifetime instead of $250 on a mediocre pair of headphones that will be unusable and unrepairable in 8 years' time.

There is absolutely nothing you can say that will make the omission of the headphone jack sound like anything except anti-consumer practices to extract more money from the consumer. And the fact that you are staunchly defending this just shows how brainwashed you are by these companies.

tituskl, 23 Jan 2022Stupid that I have to buy a midranger or obscure Chinese ph... moreWell, you should be happy, because to get the feature that you want, you can pay less. Unless you want a headphone jack and a fast chipset.
Look, most companies have moved on from putting headphone jacks in flagships. Complaining won't do anything. It's better if you support the companies who still put jack in flagships, such as Sony, [LG] and Asus, as that will make them continue to do it.

Spend less for more features? How backwards things have become. And yet you still tacitly defend these companies and their decisions.

You're right, we're in 2022 now. We should stop with the removal and worsening of basic phone functionality. The only "going backwards" here is phone companies raising the prices while simultaneously stripping away features. Just because you don't use it, doesn't mean "most people" don't use it.

However, for the average person, bluetooth pairing is a fucking nightmare, especially when using third-party buds that can play fast and loose with expected bluetooth device behavior, and the easily understandable and consistent experience of just plugging a metal connector into an appropriately shaped hole and getting your audio immediately wins out 99% of the time.

Every corner I go, I hear someone complain. Maybe some guys did use S20 on 60Hz 1440p and didn't give a crap about 120Hz, but Samsung fully took this out of the equation... and paid dearly for it.

Djlastec, 18 Jan 2022Out of this s21 and s10 plus, which one is better?S21 has 1080p, while S10 plus has 1440p, micro sd and headphone jack (which is apparently a huge benefit). But S21 has 120Hz, better protection, faster chip. Since S21 is a newer phone, I would recommend it unless you are used to 1440p.

Anonymous, 14 Jan 2022A Lot of you are hating on a phone you don't have. To ... moreTrust me, these folks can tell the difference between 1080p and 1440p, but only because they have been spoiled to the point where resolution is the only thing that matters in the phone. They have not just had the S20, but the S10, S9, S8, S7 and all the S series flagships before it. So now they are [damn right] used to this high resolution and they can't go back to 1080p, it looks fuzzy and blurry to them. Kind of like when you try drugs, you can't go back.
