Like all my previous Galaxy S phones, My S21 is on 24/7/365. And the only time it gets rebooted is from the monthly software update.

I was planning on buying an s21.
Is this unit affected with the black screen of death?
I heard both the S21+ and S21 Ultra is affected by it. Any info about this matter?

      2. Limit your background apps from standard to 4 or no apps running in the background (you have to enable developer setting to do this)
      3. Turn on battery saving if you haven't
      4. Turn off location, you don't use them unless you're using the map
      5. Enable "suspend execution for cached apps" in developer setting the downside for this one is that the app performance will decrease
      6. Put unused app to deep sleep in your device care or you can restrict apps activity in developer setting
      7. Turn on data saver in your connection setting
      8. Lower your screen brightness to low, or dim
      9. Limit your screen time to 1 min or less
      10. Use wifi calling instead, cellular connection tend to use more power when your signal is low

After using the S21 with a 120Hz variable refresh rate, I could never go back to a 60hz refresh rate. The difference was huge. And this is from a person that plays never games on a cell phone.

The last time I played a game on a cell phone was back in 2017. When I had an S8.

Anonymous, 30 Jan 2022Did they also notice the 120Hz, better cameras, better batt... moreYes. The lower resolution of the S21 was the only negative for me. Coming from an S10. All the benefits of the S21 over the S10 easily trumped the lower screen resolution for me.

I'm still curious how the S22 will be. As long as I can get an S22 for $300 or less out of pocket, after my S21 trade in, I will most likely get one.

Since I always want to get the fastest SoC available. And it sounds like the new SoC in the S22 will be a nice improvement over the S21. The faster a cell phone is the better, for me.

I got $550 trade in for my two year old S10, toward a launch S21. So my 256GB S21 only cost me $300 out of pocket.

What's the point of the 64MP 1.1x sensor that only gets activated with 3x Zoom? Did they just had a bunch of lenses lying around and didn't know hat to do with them?

Just wait and see if S22 will have 1440p, otherwise get S20, which has an option for 1440.

I went into phone finder, filtered in phones from 6.2 inches to 6.3. Not many of them are from popular brands. If you want a flagship phone, your only choices are Xiaomi 12x, Pixel 4a 5G, Redmi Note 8 2021, Fairphone 4, Sony Xperia L4 or upcoming Pixel 6a.
