I have no desire to go back to 20th century tech and use wired headphones. This is 2022. I've been using wireless headphones for many, many years now. No way would I ever go back to wired. Just like with commercials. I stopped watching commercials in the mid 80's when I started time shifting my TV watching. I would never go back to watching commercials.

Brighter HDR with the S21. Faster storage, faster processor, better camera etc. And a 120hz screen. The only thing that went backwards with the S21 is the screen resolution. The S10 has a 1440 x 3040 screen. And the S21 has a 1080 x 2400 screen. For me, all the other S21 improvements easily trumped the lower resolution screen.

So I'm confused, are you perfectly happy with the quality of wireless earbuds or are you always in pursuit of something with superior audio quality? Sounds like you're wasting a lot of money my man. Buy a pair of Grados, Samsons, or Sennheisers and you'll never really have to buy another pair of headphones again for the rest of your life. A pair of wired headphones that sounds fantastic today will still sound just as fantastic in 25 years. A pair of wireless earbuds that sounds good today will be dead in 5 years because the batteries wore out, and the companies that produced them made them unrepairable.

Battery life is pretty disappointing even for a non gamer like me, it barely lasts for a day.

It's a pretty good phone, I like the size & weight (hard to find such phones nowadays) traded my S10 for this, got the violet color which looks great.

Was there much difference or improvement particularly in the display. I have an s10 (moved from an s8) and did notice an incremental improvement. Now waiting for the s22 to change up once more.

Whether they cost $500 or $100 or $50. I am not going to use them for more than a few years. I will always upgrade to something better.

The only electronic devices I've used for over a decade would be SVS subwoofers. Which I have been using since the early 2000's.

Anonymous, 26 Jan 2022just get the + and stop whiningWhat the heck are you talking about? I've owned the S21 for over a year. Since launch. The last thing I want is the plus version. It is too big. Why would I switch from an old S21 to an old S21 plus? I would get an S22. I would not get an older model phone like the S21 I have now.

That is the size I want or a little larger. No larger than 6.3". I went from an S6 to an S8 to an S10 to an S21. I have owned an S21 since launch a year ago. I will either keep my S21 for another year or get the S22 when it launches next month.

If you want a big phone, there are a lot of choices out there, such as S21+, Oneplus 8 Pro, Xiaomi 11, Note 20 Ultra, Motorola X30, Google Pixel 6 Pro. This phone is not for you. No need to stay here. This phone is a gem, a treat for people looking for small phones, as not many of them exist anymore, even in the budget range.

Why would you not want to use the same headphones you used ten years ago? Have they gotten worse? Could it possibly be because you got cheap crap that was never good in the first place?

And is that 1% worth removing basic functionality ove... moreThe vast majority of people are not going to use a pair of head phones for ten years. Let alone seventy years. There is no way I would want to use the headphones I used fifty years ago, back in the early seventies. Heck I wouldn't even use the ones I had five years ago.

Besides why would I need to. I get a free pair of wireless buds every time I buy a new Galaxy S phone anyway.

I was hoping the S22 would stay the same size or get slightly larger. Not smaller. Because of the smaller size I am considering not trading in my S21 for an S22. And waiting for the S23.

Although it really depends on the price. If the rumored price is $100 more than the S21 then I probably won't get the S22. Unless the trade in vale of my S21 is increased. If I can get a 256GB S22 for $300 after trade in. Which would be the same price my launch 256GB S21 cost after trade in. Then there is still a good chance I will get the S22.

With multiple Galaxy S models. From LG, Sony, and now Samsung. They have all paired with any phone I've owned with zero issues. I pair it once. Then it pair automatically when I turn it on. BT pairing has always worked great with my BT ear pieces and my Galaxy S phones.

Guys, I have noticed that Samsung made a compact A10e and A20e, but didn't make a S20e, just makes me mad. They could easily. But they didn't. Fortunately, they are making the S22 small.
