It's cause they are so used to looking at 1440p! Their whole life they bought every flagship, S6,S7,S8,S9,S10 with their dishing dollar away every second. Now they think THIS is flagship display, just high res. They don't bother respecting Samsung's attempt to prioritise high refresh rate. Look at where being rich with guzpiles of money and spoiled brats can lead you!

    A Lot of you are hating on a phone you don't have. To the people who don't have the phone then stop because specs aren't everything. To the people who own the s21 you too are fixated on the specs. If you don't like the performance then that's on you. But if you are complaining about the display. Then is 1080p not enough. It's hard to get thoughts about the kinds of pixel density on a phone. Also you don't need a Gaming monitor in your pocket. Then you can't even see the individual pixel with your naked eye.

    To say it is a downgrade becuse of the screnn and ram is idiotic. Because you are ignoring the process of the different types of amoled. You are discrediting those improvements and not engaging them. It is a better phone than the S20 but you have to look past the minor differences to see the major differences.

Also the s21 is more effiect so you don't need that much ram. The screen is good stop complainging about a FHD screen. You can't even see much of a diffence in quailty at the 6.2 inch display.

But I can tell you enough for you to know it was a PAIN to tangle and untangle them and have a space to store them. I am much better off just putting compact wireless buds case in my small pocket. The only valid point you have against wireless earbuds is battery life, and imo at least, a wirefree life beats out that disadvantage. There is a reason why headphone jacks are for "audiophiles" - very needy people who MUST have zero latency as they can tell the difference between zero and 5 latency (which really, normal people can't), who MUST have amazing sound quality. Trust me, I just switched from my wired sony earbuds to galaxy buds, and I can't tell any difference in sound quality, both are great. People who NEED unbreakable connection and seamless connection (which believe me great wireless earbuds offer), zero compression which I don't even know what that is, just to show you how specific that requirement is. Also if you have good earbuds, they won't fail on you, like it hasn't for me.

                Any of you have issues with USB C sticks? OTG seems like a scam. Kingstone 128gb USB-C stick is not recognized and if I try to connect with external ssd drive via usb c it says: High-power USB device connected Cannot access
                Wtf samsung?! Even my old huawei from 2016 works better.

Worse sound quality, more complex parts more prone to failure, the batteries wear out and are non-replaceable, making them disposable in the long term, while a nice pair of wired headphones will last for as long as you take care of them, potentially up to your entire life. Headphone jack offers a more solid connection, actually good microphone quality, zero latency, zero compression, lower power usage, shall I go on?

                        And no, unless you're a hyperactive and aggressive toddler, headphone jacks do not "bend."

From h... moreWell you're very fortunate to never be in a situation where you will have poor to no cell reception and no easy access to WiFi. I, however, travel frequently, and do not live in the city. So having my music stored locally is a non-negotiable. I do still have it all stored elsewhere on hard drives of course, but having it on a NAS I need internet access to connect to is just as useless as Spotify, Pandora, Tidal, etc.

                              Anyways, I imagine the S21 FE 5G targets, you know, budget-minded consumers, who usually don't have the disposable income or time to create their own home NAS's.

                                Interesting how it lists usb C gen 3.2, yet over usb C even with a 3.0 certified cable that i've transfered 100MB's over an external nvme, the S21 doesn't transfer faster than max 20-24MB's from my testing both with pictures and 8k 100MB 10 second recording test, same when transfering over self converted movies from my nas from my pc that normally transfers at 1Gbit

                                      The new Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+ phones have big Dynamic AMOLED 2X screens, which at first seems to continue the established tradition of Samsung’s S Series phones delivering a stunning visual experience. But when you examine the resolution, it seems to only follow the good old tradition in part, because, shockingly, two of Samsung’s new leading Galaxy S phones have FHD+ resolutions, which is a meager 2220 x 1080 pixels.

                                      Call the Galaxy S21 a flagship phone? You have got to be kidding, right? If you’re outraged by this decision that quite literally offends your eyes, then please read on.

                                      I want flagship specs throughout

                                      You know which other phones have FHD+ resolutions? The Galaxy S20 FE, the Galaxy A71, and any number of “mid-range” phones including the Motorola Edge Plus. None of which cost $1,000, or would be called a flagship. If I’m spending a chunk of hard-earned cash on a top-spec phone, I want to win every time I compare specs with the sub-par devices my friends have stupidly chosen.

                                      The Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+ have stunning, wonderful, fabulously colorful Dynamic AMOLED 2X screens on the front with huge WQHD+, or 3200 x 1440, resolutions. These numbers, in case it’s not immediately obvious, are higher than the Galaxy S21’s numbers. What’s more, the numbers taken from the OnePlus 8 Pro, the Asus ROG Phone 3, and even the iPhone 12 Pro are higher too. Samsung has made the Galaxy S21 the Top Trump card you hope to never pull.

                                      Numbers matter, and higher ones mean my phone is not only better than yours, but in the case of the screen, they mean pin-sharp detail for all my games, videos, and photos. Staring into the screen, I want to get lost in the image, and to do so, I need all the pixels. Every single one of them, and if they’re lacking, then I’m going to feel short-changed. Not good after spending $1,000.

                                      Really?

                                      How long did you think I could keep the outrage going? Three paragraphs isn’t bad, and more than I thought I’d be able to. It is, of course, mock outrage, a sarcastic knee-jerk reaction to a nonetheless surprising decision on Samsung’s part to take a step back from monster resolution screens on the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+.

                                      The only people who will be upset by the Galaxy S21’s FHD+ screens are the spec-warriors parodied above. Almost everyone else won’t really notice any difference for a couple of reasons. The first is the Galaxy S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, Note 20 Ultra, and a few other phones with a QHD resolution default out of the box to FHD+ anyway. It means unless you purposely altered the setting, you’ve been staring at an FHD resolution regardless of its overall ability. You stared at an FHD+ resolution with the smugness of knowing you have the highest resolution … even though you weren’t actually seeing it.

                                      The other reason is you have to look really, really hard to spot the upgrade from FHD+ to WQHD+ on such a small screen. In my experience it takes a fair amount of peering, pausing, and examining when testing phones back-to-back in order to maybe see it at all. Not something regular people will do.

                                      Samsung’s phones all defaulted to FHD+ out of the box anyway, so stop complaining

                                      There is a difference between the Galaxy S20 FE’s FHD+, 407 pixel-per-inch density screen and the Galaxy S20+’s WQHD+’s 525ppi screen, but it’s more about when the display’s performance is judged as a whole, as due to the small size, your eyes are unlikely to see any detail differences from the pixel counts.

                                      Worth the trade-off

                                      Am I saying the extra pixels don’t matter? Absolutely not. For a start, an FHD+ resolution screen is at odds with today’s obsession with 4K and 8K video recording, 4K Netflix plans, and 2K YouTube videos, but that’s all more relevant on much larger screens where we actually can see the pixel upgrade. Also, while I mock concentrating on specs, there’s still something to be said about having the very best of everything in your phone, and even if it’s a placebo effect, Samsung’s WQHD+ screens are utterly stunning.

                                      Samsung’s doing it right. Save the WQHD+ resolution screens for monster phones like the Galaxy S21 Ultra and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Stick with FHD+ on regular phones to lower the price and increase the battery life. The Galaxy S21 costs $799, rather than matching the $999 price of the S20, and the screen almost certainly plays a part in the welcome price drop. It’s the same for the Galaxy S21+, which costs $999, and not $1,199.

                                      Don’t look at the new Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+ and immediately write them off due to any perceived “downside” of a FHD+ resolution. Instead, rejoice that you’re about to get a cheaper phone and that your eyes probably aren’t even capable of noticing one of the main reasons why.

Whether I'm listening to my lossless or lossy music. I never store any music locally on my phones. I always stream it since Verizon wireless in my area is rock solid. Even a couple levels down in a grarage, in a building with no DAS, I still have no issue with a cell signal. Here in Nothern Virginia and around the DC area.

                                        I hate spotify. I use Pandora for streaming music. Or I use Plex amp to stream from my plex servers at home. Pandora has always done a great job of picking music I like after I enter my music tastes. Where over 90% of the music Pandora picks, I want to listen to. When I've tried doing the same thing with Spotify, more than half the music it picks I have no desire to listen to.

                                        No phone can store all my personal music. Since I have several Terabytes of lossless and lossy music stored on either my Plex machines or my unRAID servers. So it's much easier to just stream everything from home. Since I have no idea what I will be in the mood to listen to at any given time.
