Paul, 19 Aug 2021Hi guys, I’m wanting to change from iOS to android and hopi... moreTip:

Avoid fast charging because it lowers the number of charges/times a battery lasts over time.

Samsung has three charging speed settings on the S21, and the default is 'slow' or standard. So to use fast charging you would have to change this setting. I don't and can plug into any charger and charge this way.

This gives you much more longevity of your battery. I know people that have 6 year old batteries. This may not prove the point for all batteries, but If you want to use your phone longer or give it to someone else after you upgrade, just use regular charging. Better for the environment as well.

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2021You clearly have a problem ( medical problem) if you don t ... moreMy eyes work just fine, and if 1440p made a real difference in day-to-day use, then I'd happily accept it. Your logic of impressive tech but low resolution would work fine with 720p, but 1080p is very sharp at this size. Our eyes can only do so well when it comes to perceiving resolution, and at 1080p on a 6.2" screen, the pixels are already microscopic. These aren't 13" laptops or 20" monitors, 1440p is not a big jump over 1080p like they are on there. The S21's display is better than the S20's overall. Going down to 1080p is easy to get used to (unlike 1080p to 720p) and it's worth it for the higher brightness and variable refresh rate. And in spite of it's power hungry processors and higher brightness, the combination of variable refresh rate and 1080p gives it better battery life. It's barely even true that the S20 has more features, with the exception of microSD. ANT+ is a very niche feature. The S21 has variable refresh rate, which is much more meaningful because it gives you better battery life (and this is with a brighter screen and 5G, and a faster processor) at 120Hz.

Even if 1440p was a big jump, that wouldn't change how horrible your logic is. You said the S21 5G is more expensive than the S20 4G. Like, how braindead do you have to be to get confused by that? It's got 5G. Including 5G has a price, that's phone-making 101. You also said it's the same price as the S20 5G. Samsung still sells the S20 5G on their website, and yet Samsung is not giving you the ability to choose? You're contradicting yourself really badly. You're picking between a slightly higher resolution, curved screen, ANT+, a microSD card slot, and the option for more RAM, or a better display overall, a flat screen (both flat and curved screens have their benefits, I'm not a hypocrite), variable refresh rate, a faster processor, better battery life, slightly faster storage, better screen protection, and Android 14 when that comes out. If they're the same price, then you get to pick the PHONE that's best for you. In terms of specs, the S21 is overall ahead, but the S20 has some meaningful features that will make a difference to some people. This isn't exclusive to the S21, or even Samsung in general. Look at the iPhone 12. It's got a smaller battery than the iPhone 11, but it's overall the better phone. If you want long battery life, you can buy the 11. You an Apple hater? The Oppo Find X3 Pro goes back to Gorilla Glass 5 from 6 on the X2 Pro. The ROG Phone 3 doesn't have a headphone jack unlike the ROG II. The Axon 30 has a lower-resolution selfie camera than the Axon 20 (16MP vs 32MP). I could go on, but I think I've made my point. And the kicker? All of the examples I've just listed are with phones that are more expensive than their predecessors. Since the S21 is the same price, it can get away with having a few more compromises, and it's still an upgrade over the S20 overall.

And as for the "you can put every kind of tech it's still 1080p," you said the S21 has a mid-range display, but it very obviously is not as it has features that make a real difference. If it were 720p, then I'd agree, but 1080 is still very sharp.

Even if you c... moreYou clearly have a problem ( medical problem) if you don t see the difference betwin two different resolution quality . But the problem it is not that you don t see the difference , it is that you don t whant to see it. You can put every kind of tech in it 1080p is still 1080p and it is still cheaper than 1440p to make it they keep a lot of money in pockets for that downgrade.
You talk ( write in this context) exactly like a friend of mine who said that his At least Mid Range phone it is as good as any Flagship phones and when i said that his screen is not that quality , his camera is not that good and more things like that he say that he doesn t need that .
But at least he has pay 200$ for his phone. The point is S21 price is bigger than S20 at this moment and S20 has more features and especialy a better display.
If people like you don t care when you buy a product that should be a update compare to the last one , and it is more weaker it is a problem.

Even if you can tell the difference between 1080p and 1440p, you clearly don't know how displays work. Resolution isn't everything. There are also colors, refresh rate, brightness, etc. The S21 is a flagship display in every way except resolution, and honestly for most people 1080p is enough. Show me a mid-range display that can do HDR10+, 1300 nits in HDR, 120Hz, variable refresh rate, and the level of colors that this thing can do, all in one panel. I still fail to see how 1440p makes any difference at 6.2", let alone how not having it is a deal-breaker, but if you can tell the difference, more power to you. However, I can no longer take you seriously if you think the S21 has a mid-range display just because it's 1080p. Sorry. If you want 1440p, the S20 is still an option. But if you just want flagship display quality and don't care about 1440p, the S21 delivers and then some. Also, the S21's display is actually slightly better than the S20's in other areas, as it's brighter and can do variable refresh rate. Like it or not, the S21 is a flagship. Flagship processor, flagship display quality, great battery life, and the back materials will matter to almost no one because cases exist, and very few people carry their phones outside a case.

Anonymous, 20 Aug 2021I agree with you. But Just one month ago I bought S20... moreBuy S20 5G with 12gb ram if you whant a decent size and good quality display. That dude has a problem with his ,,no one needs more than 1080p on a smartphone". We are all diferent , we do different things , we like different things.
What i whant to say is that it doesn t matter what everyone prefer , the point is that to make 1440p display cost a lot more than a 1080p one . When Samsung made the S20 FE it was ok , they downgrade the display quality for people who didn t care to much about that and wanted a cheaper S20. But with S21 series they downgrade the screen again and surprise the price is big . S21 and S21 Plus should be high end devices with best quality materials but they have a mid range display and the price is even bigger than the S20 and S20 Plus.

JdRDMS, 19 Aug 2021What the heck did I just read? It's honestly impressiv... moreI agree with you. But

                Just one month ago I bought S20 Fe, A71, s21 , s21 ultra.

Right now I am using s9 . My all phone s2,s3,s4,s5,s6,s7,s8,s10,s20 are dead.
I just don't know why my s20 screen goes off. I had just keep my phone on charging . When I go for looking s20 it was blackout.. no touch on screen .
                My s20 was exynos version.
Right now s9 also goes off. S10 was fallen in hot water tub.when I remove it from tub .directly screen goes off.

When I was using s20 fe and a71 . It was fine too good .

But when I using s21 . I compare my s9 . Will playing some 4k video on both phone. S9 screen look better than s21 . But s21 was brighter .s21 4k video dint feel like sharp smoothness. Curved display is also not there no s21.

And I compare s21 and s21 ultra also . With 8k video on both phones side by side. S21 ultra video is so sharp and smooth it was geourges great screen..
S21 flat screen look deep. S21 ultra screen look bettere smooth. Icons look like 3d on screen. S21 icons look deep inside in screen.

But I didn't like bigger screen s21 ultra. It's look wider in my hand also . It's look wider in pocket also. S21 ultra to big to keep in my pocket. My hands are small. I love compact phones like 6.1 inch to 6.3 inch. With great features like s21 ultra . But should be available on compact phones.

I only use phone for browsing, and watching 4k videos, and movies.

I don't use camera ,no images in my phone.
,don't use social app which I disable. Only use samsung apps. Dont use any Google apps all Google apps are disabled. Google maps also disable.
I don't play games on it.
Don't use calling . There's no contact in my phone .

I only use phone for browsing, and watching 4k videos, and movies.

Will watching video on s21 . Will using s21 . It's always goes around in my head it's 1080p display downgrade display. So I had sold my s21 .

Now I am with no phone . Waiting for s22. Hope for better features.

Now you suggest me what to do.😕

Paul, 19 Aug 2021Hi guys, I’m wanting to change from iOS to android and hopi... moreYes it comes with fast charging support.....but u have to buy the charger separately because u will not be getting any charger inside box.....only u will get the cable.....

captain fokou, 19 Aug 2021What is better on the s20? The screen is 1080p instead of 1440p (not that big a deal especially if you're coming from an iPhone), it has a plastic back (lmao just put it in a case), some countries have the option for 12GB of RAM on the S20 (again, not a big deal if you are used to the iPhone), the screen isn't curved (which might be a positive to you, but it is a con for some), it doesn't have ANT+ (which isn't a big deal for most users, it's mainly used to connect to other devices), and it doesn't have a microSD card slot (the only issue I can say is actually major, and even then if you don't have a lot on your phone 128GB is plenty). Otherwise, the S21 will get another year of software updates, has a faster processor, a slightly brighter screen, stronger glass on the screen, and has slightly faster storage (UFS 3.1 vs 3.0). I'd consider the S21 a better buy overall, but if you can live with the compromises, the S20 isn't bad either if you can find it for cheaper.

Anonymous, 19 Aug 2021Then why they are lunching s21 fe. S21 already have 10... moreWhat the heck did I just read? It's honestly impressive how much wrong there is in this post. First of all, I said KEEP core parts, not WEAKEN core parts. 720p is just stupid except on budget phones. I know you were trying to use my logic against me, but geez did you fall flat on your face. Second, yes the A52 and A72 have 1080p, but the S21's screen is better in other areas, like brightness, max refresh rate, colors, etc. Third, 1440p is a very small improvement at this size, even if you can notice it, and even if the battery life is still good, you'll be able to get much more out of 1080p, and get higher FPS in games, not push your GPU as hard, and more. Unlike 720p to 1080p, where it's much more noticeable, and the drawbacks are much less severe. Fourth, the leaked price tag for the S21 FE is $600, which is more than 30% off of the $800 S21. Also, the S20 FE's launch price was over 30% off the S20's (700 compared to 1000), I don't see why they wouldn't keep that. Fifth, again, the core of the S21 FE is going to be largely the same (NOT cut back in the ways that matter), with a lack of extra features to reduce price. You acknowledge this, but you don't seem to get it as you say twice that you hope the S21 FE has 1440p. And sixth, you say that 1080p is a problem because it's on the A-series, and other Samsung phones. This is obviously stupid logic, as the A52 and even A32 have a 123-degree ultrawide camera, should we make the S-series wider because it's more expensive? No, 123 degrees is plenty. I agree that Samsung should at least make a charging brick and headphones in the box at least an option (like Xiaomi), but that's the only part of this post I don't facepalm at. I can admit that as long as it's an OLED panel, and you can turn it down (and I know you're going to try to nitpick this if I don't clarify, yes you have been able to for years, but the point still stands), 1440p as an option is fine, and I wouldn't complain if they brought it back on the S22, but losing it is absolutely not the end of the world.

                        S21 already have 1080p display

Like You said ( The FE series is supposed to keep the core parts and get rid of the extras to reduce the price, not add on to the normal version.)

Then they should put 720p on s21 fe . decrease refresh rate .cut everything in half .

                        I had used S2,S3,S4,S5,S6,S7,S8,S9,S10,S20.

I don't have any problem will using 1440p display. Battery is also good.works fine.

                        It's a Fan Edition bro.

You are the Fan of 1080p display

I am the Fan of 1440p display .

                        I want 1440p display on s21 fe or s22 it's a fan demand

and I can see a difference between 1080p display resolution and 1440p display resolution .

Why don't you buy A52 or A72 . You can go for it.

                        Like you said (
The FE series is supposed to keep the core parts and get rid of the extras to reduce the price, not add on to the normal version.)

                        it's already on A52 , A72 and S21

                        Go get A52 A72 S21 1080p display.

And samsung lunch 1080p display on s21 fe . Which already have on other samsung phones.

They cut only little bit price .like a 10% only . If they want to make cheaper phone then why cut price 40-30 % less . Buy cutting.

Like You said ( The FE series is supposed to keep the core parts and get rid of the extras to reduce the price, not add on to the normal version.)

My last phone S20 . I just stop buying samsung phones. Samsung is also forcing to use bigger screen.

Samsung galaxy S21 Fan Edition Or S22 . Should have 1440p display. Head phone jack . Akg earphones and charger in box.

These time samsung should listen 1440p display Fan people's.

I wish s21 Fe or s22 should have 1440p display.

I also think 4K is good for entry-level VR, and 1080p is good for budget TVs. 1440p on TVs is also kinda pointless because reasonably-priced, good 4K TVs are a thing now, so they can fill in the price bracket where 1440p would've in pre-2015 (if 1440p TVs were ever common, a lot of manufacturers skipped the resolution), while also offering an appreciable bump in quality, unlike 1440p on phones, or 4K on tablets or laptops.

Exactly. Here’s my take on ideal resolutions for different devices.
480p: Smartwatches (maybe lower depending on size)
                                        720p: Budget phones
1080p: Mid-range and higher phones, cheap tablets and laptops, and entry-level monitors
1440p: Mid-range and higher tablets, mid-range and higher laptops, and mid-to-upper-mid-range monitors
4K: Higher-end monitors and smaller TVs
