My S20 is a good phone...but not a lot of differences with my previous S10...and S21 seems even more similar to S20. A new S serie every two years would be enough...just give us steady firmware upgrades.

i might switch from my A50 to this cus
1. i hate glass backs so plastic is completely fine
2. it has 120hz idc about 1440p
3. it looks absolutely beautiful
4. SD card and 3.5mm jack are not necessary to me
5. perfect screen size for me

Plastic is not a top notch, while there is glass, metal, ceramic. 400ppi is not a top notch, while there is 600ppi. 1.1x optical zoom... don't get me started on this one.
And you can't claim "great build quality" for something that hasn't been released yet (unless you are Samsung marketing department :-))
Do you want a bet that next S version will come with non-plastic back and 1440p, after terrible reception of S21?

KMO, 29 Dec 2020plastic back?? oh samsung really?These companies poop on the loyalty of consumers. Consumers stick with them and they're rewarded with inflated prices and cheaper materials. This is why I'm not a fan of consumers converging on what they consider to be the best. It basically enables this type of behavior.

The chassis is the highest quality metal, build quality will be great as always in the samsung flagships, and all the components are top notch. The display will be very high quality even if its not 1440p. Same for the camera, it will be great. Just because the back cover is plastic doesnt mean the phone is not premium lol

So did the s6, s7, s8, s9, s10 and S20 etc. 1440p on those screen sizes are overkill. 1080 is more than enough. Less resolution also means better battery life. Perfect decision to put 1080. Plus that means repairing them will be more cheaper.

As well as the latest and greatest CPU. And some people don't need IP68 or telephoto. But removing those features would still be a downgrade, a use of cheaper components, in other words.
It's the point of "Premium" to go a little over the top, while midranges should "simply make sense". But now you are getting S21 midrange phone (except CPU), for the premium price.
Not to mention that plastic is not the only alternative to glass: how about metal back, Samsung?

And no need for 1440p on this size, and being 1080p battery life will be increased. Its a win-win. 1440p is nonsense and complete OVERKILL unless its a huge phone or a tablet. S21 is NOT a big phone.

The only "downgrade&q... moregsm arena didn't update it yet but last leak shows s21 has 6.2 inch display (not 6.3) and same battery (4000, not 4500) as s20 but phone is bigger and heavier...meh. Really don't see point in getting it over s20. Was waiting for s21 but will probably buy s20 in the end.

Very bad screen resolution down by 1440pixel to 1080pixel in a flagship phone. SAMSUNG has many normal Smartphone as like A-series, M- series where use 1080pixel display.

Also the plastic back in will make the phone less fragile compared to glass.
