The weight of the S22 ultra is 229g, hence 17% heavier. Doesn't seem a big difference but when you hold phone for long time, you feel it.
I like a minimal thickness on the borders, because it's easier to hold.
Flat back doesn't annoy me at all. My previous poco F2 pro got a curved back, I don't miss it. I even prefer flat.
What's painful on the S22 ultra is the sharp corners.

Its heavy and feels as thick as a brick because of the giant frame. The back cuts into your hand when holding the phone because it doesn't curve around like your fingers do
Not exactly ergonomic
I don't like curved screens but flat backs are just as bad if not worse

I am not expert Ias I judge I wrote. I think Samsung can't give the inferior display to its flagship phones. It not not bad after price reduce. Overall display quality is superb 👌

And if Samsung would lose less than 1% of its user base, by removing a feature, and increase their margin, they would not hesitate. The s22 ultra IS a compromise. It's heavy and cumbersome. It has hard edges, that are painful on hand after some times. And it's as if, they've done a curved screen, just because they couldn't cram more display resolution, without affecting ergonomics.
And somehow the Cam of the s22 ultra sucks as much as the Cam of the s22 plus. They are too much relying on IA, and not enough on plain good quality hardware. This is also a "cost saving" measure. If they manage to get enough good pics with "mediocre" hardware, and correct enough the flaws with IA, so that average users couldn't the difference (I can), they'll do it. If you are unhappy of this game, i.e Samsung trying to milk consumers to the max, you might consider other brands. But all brands, do this one day.

Why? Samsung puts all of their attention into the ultra model with no compromises while they try to make the normal and plus versions as worse as possible before people start complaining. We complained about the plastic back on the S21 and they added glass, so maybe if we complain enough they put a 1440p screen next time

Best display I ever used. Quality of display Is a topnotch .it's show miner detail of object. Don't look at ppi. It's a great display. Colors are so vibrant and natural➿️➿️✔️✔️

For those that keep on complaining about insufficient resolution of S22 plus, you need to keep you eyes at a distance of less than 9 inches , or 23 cm from the screen in order to see the pixels. Only (very) near-sighted people would do this.

In this time and age, the cameras keep growing every year while everything else stays the same. By the time we get to S30, there will only be a giant circle on the back of the phone. I have the money to buy the s22 plus but I don't want to feel like a fool splashing over $1000 for a 1080p display in year 2022
