Therere's just a security hook at system launch, that allows you to install knox stuff if you wish. They could remove the knox branding at start, and you wouldn't notice.

If not for the useless Knox, rooting & debloating would be no problem but it trips it & is unreversable. Not gonna buy another Samsung unless they atleast remove that useless Knox.

A bit disappointed too, but fortunately there's fast charging. I can end the day, if I don't use too much the phone.

            > anytime I hold the phone in one hand, my pinky sits naturally right over the mic hole
Happens to me too, but easy to avoid by holding phone on the long sides rather than bottom.

            > cameras are glitchy often
Not for me. I have a bigger problem with the excessive processing that looks like some water paintings.

            > The samsung UI still sucks
Try to install an other launcher.

            > the phone overheats much too easily
I noticed this problem at begin, but it disappeared.

Got this phone for work, first impression is that the battery life sucks, even with all the downgrades samsung did to improve it. The front mic is literally in the worst spot, anytime I hold the phone in one hand, my pinky sits naturally right over the mic hole. The build quality feels plastic, if i compare to my old pixel 3 it feels like a budget phone in comparison. The cameras are glitchy often, they don't work in most apps, I often have to take a pic on the camera app and then upload that instead of taking the pic directly in app using the camera API. The samsung UI still sucks compared to google, especially the app drawer, why is samsung still using pages for this? I have so many apps and scrolling through is so tedious compared to just sling-shotting to the bottom of the list in alphabetical order.
the phone overheats much too easily, even just a single video call gets it up to what feels like a boiling point. To top it off, as others have mentioned, Samsung actually made the specs worse than some previous gen phones, does not feel like a flagship phone at all.

I only wish I could return it. I wanted to try samsung again just to see because the pixel 7 isn't out yet. I should have waited for it.
              absolute pile of steaming sh*t

It wouldn't be wise to load a 1440p screen with the new snapdragon 8gen 1 chipset that over heats over time , to think about it Samsung still holds the title of best Android screen . The s8 of years ago was probably about high end hardware . The higher the hardware the better the performance but Samsung has switched over , they're starting to look more like iPhone each passing year . There is absolutely nothing wrong about reduced screen resolution as long as the software can process images perfectly.

Anonymous, 10 Jul 2022Paying $1000 for a phablet with less than 400ppi is pretty ... moreLet me tell a trick to save money on samsung flagships each year.
                                1. Buy a used working condition previous generation galaxy phone.
                                2. Lets say you bought a s20 ultra for $350-400. You can use this phone as a trade-in for a new flagship.
                                3. Samsung gives atleast $850 cashback for top tier flagship trade-in and sometimes even more.
                                4. Buy a new flagship (s22 ultra for eg.) that costs about $1200 on special sale events which are pretty common and get additional discount of $100-200.
                                5. Additionally you can use student discounts or employee discounts which will save you another $50-100.
                                6. So basically you will be paying 1200-100-850-50+400 = $600 for a brand new S22 ultra.
                                7. Use your new phone for upgrade next year.

I barely manage to see the pixels. Hence, for someone with a normal vision, it's just impossible to see pixels. It's just useless to have more ppi. If you are unhappy to pay 1000$, just look at something else. It's clear that s22+ is not perfect. I would buy a Sony if they were available on local markets.

If you're the type of person who likes higher ppi, sharpness, neatness, big screens, play games on a phone and want every detail to be perfect, please read comments and opinions before buying, that way you won't have the frustration of buying a phone you expected to be good for everything you do with it. if you're expectations on this phone are not good ones don't expect that everybody else will have the same problem cause not all of us use it the same way. I've used Nokia, Motorola, and now Samsung. If I wanted i would've buyed the S22 Ultra but I don't like curved screens, or the S Pen. So, I went to S22 + which for the use that I give to a phone is perfect in every way. Just read before buying and jump into your conclusions.
