You might have wrong copy. I dont have heating problems at all with my s22 exynos version. I also dont have problems with batterylife. My s22 survives more than a day on one charge. The lastest update made a huge improvement for the batterydrain on my s22.
Remember there are plenty of batterysaving settings you can do.

When arguing about the battery life, please remember to mention which variant you are using, Snapdragon or Exynos. I have been using the Exynos version for one month now and it really has a really bad battery life and strange heating issues even when not used. The updates have not helped so far.

I just bought this phone, and immediately out of curiosity and lack of better things to do compared it to my old S10. Phone is on its way, hoping to get it any day now.
On closer inspection, it turns out that both resolution and PPI density 1080 x 2340 pixels, 19.5:9 ratio (~425 ppi density) are inferior to my old S10s 1440 x 3040 pixels, 19:9 ratio (~550 ppi density).
I own the phone and Im in this boat with the rest of you, thus Im not trying to spark a Samsung pro or con debate here; but how come 3 years older phone has a sharper screen?

Xyz, 07 May 2022The phone is pretty good. Great dimensions, it's small... moreI've been using my SD S22 since February 22nd now. I have yet to need to charge my phone while away from home. It's had no issues lasting all day. And the last two software updates has even increased the amount of time I can use the phone.
Although, so far, the longest time I have used the phone away from home was eighteen hours. I was down to around 13% battery level when I got home at 2AM that morning. But I only slow wirelessly charge at home. And I have yet to need to charge my S22 away from home.

And the thing about flexing, not everyone is a man child like you who think phones are a status symbol. My brother has had s2, s7edge, s8+ note8 s10 s10+ s20fe now s22 ultra and ive used them all for some time. You only notice the quality of the display like the contrast, dynamic range etc improve not the resolution. Ive even try to see if there is any difference between 1440p and 1080p and s22 ultra and there is none. On a phone this small 1440p is just too much unless you want to get 2hr sot and charge it 50 times a day. Also about gaming. Im used to playing 1440p and 4k on pc. And the quality of mobile games to me looks just fine. And i found that the ingame res is not tied to screen res. Rather the ingame settings

Anonymous, 07 May 2022If you don t need it doesn t mean that no one does. You can... moreHave you used the phone? Ive had it for 2 months now. 1080p is just a resolution like many others and it doesnt even matter imo. I have had an lg v30+ in the past and a huawei nova 3. Lg was 1440p huawei 1080p and honestly i didnt see any difference. Its the display quality that matters and the s22 display quality is just too good. Now you may say that it has less ram but you forget that you can extend it in the settings up to 16gb so technucally its more. I also believe this is using faster ram than that of the s20

Anonymous, 10 May 2022The worst battery I've ever seen. It's compact an... moreStrange. Maybe you got a wrong copy or you are a very heavy user.
I've had s22 (exynos version) for 1 week now and I'm very pleased with it. The compact design is freakin awesome. Cameras over my expectations and batterylife better than my previous Xiaomi phones. Do mind that there is plenty of settings you can do to increase batterylife. For example I'm not using 5G net since its not available where I live. I'm not using gps and I rarely have bluetooth active (only when listening to spotify 30 min/per day). You can also turn off search for device feature and the always on display. I do not play games on my phone and I mainly use my phone for business and webbrowsing and leasure in the weekends. Lastly one very important thing is to update to latest systemversion since it increases the batterylife by huge amount.
I've had my s22 (exynos version) for 1 week and I have only charged it 3 times.

The worst battery I've ever seen. It's compact and has that cool features, but I need to charge it 3-4 times a day. Exynos variant. Terrible disaster.

I'm terribly disappointed of this phone. I have been using S20 since its very first days and I was disappointed with its fake 1.1 digital zoom camera. That's why I have been waiting all the time first for S21 hoping to get optical one, but disappointed again, then for S22. Now, when it's here, it's a big disappointment again.
Its optical zoom camera is REALLY good and is quite a big step forward when compared to S20/S21, but the main cam is a joke. This 50 Mpx thing can't take any sharp photo. All the photos lack details and everything seems like it's just off focus a bit. S20 takes so better main cam photos, that I have decided to stay with S20 for yet one more year :|

I have had my s22 for 3 days. Only charged it ones (from 60% to 100%). The guys saying this phones batterylife sucks must be really heavy users. This phone aint for them anyway. Im pleased so far with everything s22 has to offer. The zoom camera suprised me in a good way.

Anonymous, 07 May 2022You can t see the difference if you don t whant to see it o... moreYou see, this was Samsung's biggest mistake. Introduce 1440p in a small phone for 4 years, then get rid of it like it never existed. They probably thought people preferred 120Hz over 1440p. Of course there are some people that only used the 1440p 60Hz, and well, Samsung neglected that. As long as you guys know that you can only use one or the other.
My advice is, if you have a small 1440p phone like S10, get rid of it. Quickly get a 1080p phone like A52s or S21. Then use it for some time. Sure, it will seem fuzzy at first, but you will get used to it. Then you will never need 1440p again, and will be happy with all the large 1080p phones coming out.

The Galaxy S22 line has compromised a lot since the S20. The lower screen resolution with the flat sides makes this seem like an over priced budget phone. I would definitely get the A53 or FE line if I were into Samsung.
