But this is really wrong . S20 is the last truly high end S-series for people who whant decent size smartphone.

Alexandre, 05 Feb 2022I will never understand this kind of people that go out to ... moreSamsung and Apple fans are like a cult that buy their new flagship phones every year even tho the only difference is just a new chip that they won't even notice
I'm the same. The phone i'm using right now is an S8 that i bought in 2018. It still works fine, battery lasts long enough and serves every purpose
That's how upgrading is best done. You skip over 2 generations and when you move to the 3rd one you'll notice a change. Going from the S21 to S22 will feel no different because they're the same thing

Anonymous, 03 Feb 2022Besides the obvious chip, is there anything new on this pho... morethe screen is not bad you are just smart ... I like so much to see some people cry that 1440p screens do not come out. And the answer is very simple: serious companies like apple and samsung will not bother to deal with every person who have no idea, wasting even a little money on a few pixels. Yes of course it is something that benefits them but it will not be missed by anyone because it is useless

aaronwt, 03 Feb 2022The last pricing rumor I heard this week was that the S22 w... moreI will never understand this kind of people that go out to spend 800$ on basically the same phone every year. Don't you guys have hobbies or something that you could be spending those 800$ or 1600$ on and switch phone only every 2 or 3 years? Wortst thing is this phone is either exactly the same or it's actually a downgrade. I had an iPhone 5s, incredible phone. Then after 6 years I changed for a Mate 20 Pro, this shit is a beauty. Probably gonna go with me for 6 years too after I get another one. And meanwhile I'm saving around 4k$ that I can spend on something like a Blackmagic 6k Pro camera or something else that fits my hobbies, or actually put it into investing to multiply it. Seriously, I don't think this people should be allowed to manage their own money. I can understand people who buy phones every 2 or 3 years, I can even understand people who buy the best 2 or 3 phones of each year because they are complete phone nerds, but I will never understand so many people that see a phone that looks exactly the same and go "well, it didn't get worse, the battery seems to hold the same time for a charge, the screen is equal, the processor is a tiny bit faster in things I will never notice, the camera is a tiny bit better but still 50x worse than any 2000$ camera I could buy instead of upgrading the phone just for a tiny bit better camera the next 2 years, so I'm gonna go ahead and just buy this phone, it's perfect for my needs!"

aaronwt, 31 Jan 2022Charging speeds? I specifically NEVER fast charge my phones... moreThat's good for you my man. But I'm sure Samsung would be really sad if you were the only buyer of this device. Anyone who wanted to charge a phone with 5W has a 5W brick in his house somewhere and can perfectly do it, even if they bring out the 1 kW charging. What about the tons of maniacs who wouldn't mind to charge their phones in 2 minutes? Exactly, these kind of dudes would like to have a Samsung phone too but they will end up buying a phone with faster charging. My phone is 2 years old, a Mate 20 Pro, I have always charged it with 40W, once or twice a day, preferentially from 20% to 70% charges, takes 20 minutes and I take it out if I know I won't be needing a full charge. My battery is as good as new after what have probably been close to 500 battery cycles... I'm pretty sure charging your phone with 5W from 0-100% 300 times causes more battery damage than charging your phone with 40W from 20%-70% 1000 times, and that's 500 battery cycles, not 300. Each one treats their batteries as they'd like, but dont come here telling you nurture you battery like a baby when you probably are damaging it way faster than me without even knowing lol

Anonymous, 04 Feb 2022This phone's battery is gonna die within 4 hours of us... moreI don't see how it will die that quick. I already go all day on my S21. And with the more efficient SoC in the S22, with a smaller battery, I would expect to go at least as long as I can with my S21.

This phone's battery is gonna die within 4 hours of use. Instead of the endless race for paper-thin phones whose battery deteriorate to non-usability in 2 years, you could invest in making them a little thicker and add juice?
The end user is not in your interests though, otherwise you wouldn't provide half the world a junk inefficient processor. 🤡

It's been 2 years so i don't remember the exact price of the S20 but it was around $1000 give or take
S21 came at around $900 but the price has dropped now and with a deal they're offering i can get it as low as $750 currently
Idk if the leak about the price increase is true but i don't see any reason to trade as there's no real improvements going from S21 to 22. Maybe if you had the S10 it would be a good change but even then you lose the 1440p display

1. What th... moreI would rather have plastic than glass. Since I know the plastic will not break like the glass could. Otherwise, I will never see the back of my phone anyway, except for when I first install a SIM card. After that it goes in a case. And stays there until I get another phone.
I've been using Galaxy S phones since the S6. I have never had any of them overheat.

If that is true I will definitely be trading in my S21 for an S22.

As far as build quality I don't see much difference. I've known people that had major issues with iphones over the last few years and also people that had major issues with Galaxy S phones. I've known people that hated the iphone so much they went back to android. But I've also known people who hated android so much that they went back to apple.

Anonymous, 03 Feb 2022Who care about launched price. S20 is cheaper at the moment... moreBecause that is comparing Apples to Apples. Either way though, the S21 is easily better than the S20. I would rather pay more for an S21 than pay less for an S20 any day. The S21 has a faster SoC, much better battery life, higher nit screen etc.
But I'll most likely be getting an S22 later this month anyway. So I'm hoping the new pricing rumors are true. If so I should be able to get a 256GB S22 for no more than $250 out of pocket. After my S21 trade in.
