NeonHD, 28 Jan 2022> you write two paragraphs but basically nothing Do r... morewhat do you mean you used lenovo with ips lcd 1080p not even 1080p plus and now oled you will not see any difference? What you say does not make sense. Also you tell me about the onplus with 6.7 inches screen of course when you go fhd it will change a little but we are talking about the s22 ... phone with 6.1 and in such a size if they changed the resolution from qhd you would not understand anything

RandyRiffin, 28 Jan 2022Bro, I've said this before, but this is a small phone,... moreRegarding ZenFone 8, if You compare dimensions it is even taller and thicker than S22, no wonder ZenFone has bigger battery even if it has smaller display. This applies to Xperia 5 III as well.

Poeple should stop comparing devices based on screen size. Phone dimensions often tell a different story.

S22 for its actual size has good specs and it should be compared only to other "compact" phones. For anyone complaining about the battery there is S22+.

Balooch, 27 Jan 2022Size is perfect ideal one but Totally disappointed with bat... moreBro, I've said this before, but this is a small phone, and maybe in a big phone you can put 5/5 chip and 5/5 battery and 5/5 wireless charging and 5/5 cameras, but in a small phone you can't. You have to sacrifice somewhere. No matter how much money you have.

The new S22 will have 3700 mAh battery in a 6.1 inch body, which doesn't seem like a lot, but then it has a power hungry flagship chipset Exynos 2200 mAh and wireless charging, so all of a sudden the battery is big.

There are numerous other examples of phones that have tried to fit a lot in a small body, but they couldn't.

Pixel 5 already has a 4080 mAh battery and a combination of aluminium and plastic body, AND it has wireless charging (which mind you, takes up a LOT of space), so Pixel 5 really didn't have enough space to fit a flagship cpu.

Sony Xperia 10 III is a similar story: big 4500 mAh battery in a 6 inch screen with a good 690 chip (as fast as 730G) but no space for wireless charging)

Now look at the ZenFone 8: 4000 mAh battery in a 5.9 inch screen and ALSO flagship 888 chip with all the cooling, sorry mate no space for wireless charging.

Trade blows bro, it's tit for tat, this for that, you need to compromise somewhere as there is a size constraint. To me, S22 is the perfect middle ground between performance, battery and wireless charging.

PT7, 28 Jan 2022If you want a hart rate and O2 sensor take a watch... Also ... moreTake, buy, this and that :-)
Whay should I buy smartwatch for 400$ when I have that function on mobile phone allready. I like classic watches more.

What is next compromise that you ready for...like plastic mobile phone, no SD, no 3.5 mm, no bunch of sensors, no charger....next level is external selfie camera propably and 720p screen, cos Samsung will tell you that is 128 GB, 256 GB, 720p, 3600 mAh, plastic back is exactly for you.

Do really you expect me to write an entire lecture on here? I already explained it. The brain processes the image as a whole instead of just the sum of individual pixels. Before you perceive, your eyes has already processed the higher pixel density and sends a signal to your brain. The reason why you might not notice is because this occurs early in perceptual processing, before we become conscious of the image. If you want to learn more, Google "Feature integration theory" and "Gestalt Psychology". It is better than me explaining it. I am knowledgeable but I cannot explain it like a professor can.

              > but too many people in the field of technology and science

Who? Who did? You can't just say 'many people', you need to prove everything that you say with real evidence. Otherwise you basically just said nothing.

              > "Also do you have a phone with 1440p screen resolution?"
I have lots. My current phone is the OnePlus 7 Pro which has a QHD+ screen. My previous phone was the LG V30 which also had a QHD screen. And then my previous previous phone was the LG G4, which, again, had a QHD screen. I also own the Motorola Moto Z, HTC 10, and Nexus 6P which all had QHD screens. As you can see I own lots of QHD phones, so no you do not know as much as I do. My very first phone was the Lenovo K3 Note, which had a FHD screen, so I'm also aware what a FHD screen looks like. To me, the difference is subtle but obvious. And I know this is the case with many others.

I dont understand the hate here against s22.

The battery is smaller because the base s22 is a lot smaller than its competition (pixel 5 doesnt count, has less cameras and lower tier SoC). Besides 3700mah is plenty enough for 1 day moderate usage and 2 days light usage.

I have 4 year old oneplus 5t and it still holds me for 1,5 days minimum. If you are have user go for s22+ or ultra, base model isnt for you.

And finally the complains about missing 1440p resolution, thats just wasting resources for such a small display. Yes you could see a little difference in quality, but again the tradeoff for bigger battery usage and higher production cost is simply not worth it on the base model.

By the specs alone, the s22 is the best phone for me in the last 2-3 years. If there is not any problem with exynos, its instant buy for me.

PT7, 27 Jan 2022You know 1440p in 6,1 inch display is useless and this is a... moreI agree with you, I have S10 (1440p) and Google Pixel 3a (1080p) and Sony Xperia XA1 (720p), and even if I glue my eyeballs to the screens, I am not able to tell the difference between the resolution sharpness. The problem is different. It is when you are used to using a 1440p for a while, and you think it's normal. Then you go back to 1080p and it's all fuzzy and blurry. It's like drugs... you just can't go back.

Samsung spoiled them to such a degree when they put 1440p in the S6, and old phone (meaning it is small), and Samsung users bought it, saying it was flagship display. Now, the only thing they think of when you say flagship display is RESOLUTION. So now, they can't even upgrade from the S10, as all phones are either big with 1440p, or small with 1080.

Citation needed. Otherwise, you cannot prove what you say. Your own experience doesn't prove anything.

                              > "Are you looking at your mobile phone with a microscope? Your computer, your TV do you know how many pixels they have per inch?"

You clearly do not understand that the brain perceives the image as a whole. Even though you cannot observe the individual pixels at a normal distance, you can, however, perceive that the display is sharper. Observing something and perceiving something are two entirely different things. I have taken a course in psychology about visual perception, what did you take?

I think you should tell yourself that first. Try being a bit more open-minded rather than being a bigot.
