I have an adapter on my wireless chargers to prevent fast charging. I have never needed it. This has been the case for many Galaxy S phones for me. I put the phone on the wireless charger, overnight. I've never needed fast charging.

Anonymous, 29 Jan 2022No one bothered battery sizeI am not. Not if the more efficient SoC is correct. The smaller battery should still give it a similar battery life to the S21. And I can already go all day on my S21.

Vanilla s22 looks good so far.I dont mind the smaller battery i dont play games and 3700mah should be enough for the day.But price is really high.Normally should be 600 or max 650 euros. And if the exynos version is less capable it should be less expensive than the SD variant. Will see soon.

'Surely Samsung could've made the S22 ~ 4,000 mAh battery?'.

Maybe I was being too harsh on the S21's panel, showing my frustration with removal of features & previous disparities between SoC's.

The S21 panel is good, but should be better (like great) for a flagship from a company known for great display panels.

It's plenty sharp & bright but seemed too muted in 'Natural' mode (sRGB) with cool washed out skin tones.
Changing to 'Vivid' mode (DCI-P3) helps (although less accurate overall), & increasing the White balance 'Warm' slider up 1 notch from Mid 3/5 to 4/5 moving away from a slight bluey green, 5/5 is too warm.

I hope to see improvements across all the S22 series (not just the Ultra), we'll soon find out!

AFAIK what Mrwhosetheboss said in Aug 2019 is still valid?:
Your Smartphone is too thin. Here’s why:

I also agree with previous comments re, screen, even my S6 from 2015 has better screen quality than than the S21!
C'mon Samsung, you're meant to be the screen 👑 king ⁉️

Match (or exceed) the screen quality of my Note9 in FHD+ (2220 x 1080) mode & we're in business.

Anonymossy, 30 Nov 2021Ladies and gentlemen, we have found the person who doesn... morei want to see either, the standard return, of the/a 3.5 mm input jack, or the ability to choose one.

Yes. I could have lived with a few hundred micrometers more. 4000 mAH would have been good, especially considering the questionable power efficiency of either of the chips (based on Samsung 4nm process). Had it been based on tsmc, then there wouldn't have been much cause to worry.

On the other hand, i don't have much issue with the resolution provided on S22. 1080p is good enough for 6.1" (though it may not be in case of S22+), and again, if the display 1440p, then battery life would have further gone down the toilet.

Neither do i have any issues with lack of fast charging. Fast charging adversely affects the battery longevity and within 15-18 months, battery capacity will be reduced to 80% (i.e. 3000 mAH). I am a patient guy, i still use 10 watt chargers. :)

On the whole, however, i am satisfied with the phone, as long as it manages to provide decent battery life. I am a big fan of compact phones, and there aren't that many options in this regard in Android space. Changing aspect ratio from 20:9 to 19.5:9 is another welcome change. These phones were getting longer and longer, which i didn't like very much. (I find 18:9 aspect ratio to be the most ideal one, but sadly every manufacturer has moved to 20:9 nowadays)

In pursuit of a thinner profile battery capacity is compromised. Ideally it would be 4000MAh.
