The important figure in any display resolution is the PPI.
The S23+ has a 393ppi display. Most people who use phones hold them at least 10 inches away or farther from their eyes. Therefore, for most people, they would no longer see the individual pixels starting at 300ppi display density.

The S23+ display at 393ppi is way above that visual threshold so there's practically no more observable resolution benefit from higher resolution displays unless the user is very nearsighted and tends to use his/her phone closer than 10 inches from their eyes.

Brand marketing/advertising got a hold of you. So tell me then, does S23+ have FHD+ display or 2K display?

UltraHD, 07 May 2023Nope, it's not 2k.Whether you like it or not 1920 is 2K. If 2K is a convention for any resolution it is 1920. Full HD is a marketing purpose to distinguished itself from "720 HD". The term 2K do not refer to specific resolutions, they are only resolution categories. People keep forgetting that 2K movies are often shot in 21:9, meaning they are not 1080, but 1920x800 pixels instead. In Cinema DCP 2K, 1920 is also a 2K. What's next? Are you going to tell us 1998x1080 is not 2K. Since you are convinced 1920 is not 2K, so do you believe the S23+ has a FHD+ display rather than having 2K display? Knowing FHD+ is a marketing and it does not exist.

This means that any display with a resolution greater than 2,048 × 1,080 can be described as 2K.

That was made up at some point. I think it was at some point after 2005. In 2001 I got my first HDTV, that was 1080i. And in 2005 I got my first 1080P TV. And I remember at some point later the marketing people starting using "Full HD" to distinguish between 720p and 1080P HDTV sets. But it has never been an official term.

1920x1080P is HD or 2k. (But then 1280x720P is also HD.)
                                      3840x2160P is UHD or 4K.

2K is based on the 1920 lines of resolution. Just like 4k is based on the 3840 lines of resolution. This is nothing new.
