You can't see the individual pixels beyond 300ppi. But human eyes can still easily see the difference between, for instance, 350 ppi and 500 ppi. You just can't see the individual pixels at that higher ppi.

I know I could easily see the difference between my S10 that had 550ppi and the S21 I switched to with 421ppi. The difference was very obvious. But, it wasn't a big deal, for me, switching to the lower resolution. And I have no problem with my S23+ and it's 393ppi. But, the difference, in the lower ppi, is still very obvious.

If it was the hardware, they would have realised it during or before manufacturing ffs, Samsung ain't idiots. And it would have been the same on the previous generation as well.

As a Samsung Note user, I am a bit disappointed. There are a lot of impressive lenses but the pictures are no better than a note 9. The note 9 was slimmer, lighter making the S23 look like a brick in comparison. The battery life is the impressive thing. Otherwise the screen appears a little larger.

UHD? Even the ultra doesn't have a UHD screen.
                                    UHD is at least 3840 x 2160. The S23 Ultra has a 3088 x 1440 screen.
Which is not an Ultra HD resolution.
