Today I had a hands on experience with the phone, I don't feel it. It doesn't have the premium feel the S22 Ultra gives me. The flat sides are so so but it definitely gives a better grip on the phone itself, the less curved screen makes for a less premium feel in my opinion, but at an angle it's still curved, only less and therefore less noticeable. The green colour however looks very nice.
The S23 looks cleaner because of the new camera design, but th rest is pretty much exactly as the S22. The look and feel between the S22 and S23 are less noticeable than that of the S22 Ultra and the S23 Ultra.

I received my S23 Ultra today 6th, way earlier than 17th Feb pre order. Thank u Samsung.
This phone is $200+ cheaper than iPhone 14 PROMAX with same storage, and have way better features. Android software beats Ios anytime.

After looking at 100 comparisons I can understand why Apple lovers and chinese garbage lovers hate so much the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. Also known as the king of the smartphones.
1. The Samsung S23 Ultra beats every contender in all 5 cameras. In some aspects like full res photo, zoom or selfie the difference is astronomical in favor of the Samsung. Best audio and best screen as well.
2. The Samsung S23 Ultra beats every other smartphone in battery life and it even matches iPhone 14 Pro Max in battery, so that means destroying all of the other Android phones if we talk about battery life and SoT hours.
3. The Samsung S23 Ultra is perfect and its not lacking in any aspect and this is a fact, the only thing haters can cry about is the 45W charge, but with this battery, who needs battery-frying charges?? The new king claims the throne.
Result: All of the other 2023 flagships will fight for the 2nd and 3rd place. Because Apple never makes big changes and there isn't any single chinese meme brand that can even match this phone, so I understand why many comments have so much hatred and frustration coming from Samsung haters!!!

Great specs here
But the same issue with the design, very boringgg nothing special comparing to s22 ultra, it reminds me with the old sony xperia phones!
Still loving my note 20 ultra design design and performance
Let's wait till S24 Ultra🤷🏻♂️

Some people must upgrade their phones way too often to complain that this phone has nothing new to offer. I'm trading in my Galaxy Note 10+ 5G for the S23 Ultra, and I am very excited. Better cameras, bigger battery, 8K recording options, better low light photography, faster processing, and better screen. About the only thing I will miss is the MicroSD card slot. I'm happy with the pace of technology release from Samsung. I'd rather have proven hardware and software enhancements versus expecting a huge upgrade each year that may or may not perform as desired. Plus, why would you want to keep shelling out $1,000 or more each year to continuously upgrade year-after-year??

SteveUk, 06 Feb 2023I think the S22U Exynos battery life is being really underr... moreThat's because the chip 8 Gen 1 and Exynos were made by Samsung factory so in other words the same crappy experience (hot and poorly efficient). Only 8+ Gen 1 by TSMC was good. Now 8 Gen 2 is also made by TSMC so expect great things.

Bet... moreI think the S22U Exynos battery life is being really underrated... in most tests, it was just just as good - and sometimes better - than the Snapdragon version. The (Exynos) model reviewed on this very site had a web-browsing time of nearly 17 hours and video playback time of 18 hours... which is none too shabby.
So it will be interesting to see how the S23U battery actually compares, once we get a full review... I have a feeling it won't be this huge difference some people are expecting.

Apple Phone I had for work was the worst cellphone I had ever used. After a couple of weeks I turned it in. And started using my personal phone for work. A galaxy S phone. Much, much better than the apple phone.
Even if they paid me I would not use an apple phone. I would rather pay for an android phone, the for someone to pay me to use an Apple phone. The experience was that bad with the Apple cell phone.

There aren't amazing improvements because all phone manufacturers reached the level where you can't do something amazing in 1 year span. But there are a lot of small changes for example screen is flatter(atleast for me it's a big plus), better perfomance and battery. I can notice that portrait photos are better, videos are better. Speaker, auto brightness are better and other things. There are changes but not as significant as for example going from s10 to s23 ultra(120hz, camera, charging....).

Anonymous, 05 Feb 2023No changes if compared to s22Actually there is if you use exynos variant especially. Better perfomance(you can notice that where gpu is needed), much better battery, better video recording, much cooler while using the phone and charging at the same time and so on.

If you gave the S23 a test, how hard would it be to test the battery too? As I understand the main complaint for the S22 is the poor battery performance. So how hard is is to put the two phones next to each other and conduct a battery test?

Dacook1984, 05 Feb 2023Where is the exynos version for Europe?Probably no more exynos on samsung flagships. And I think It's very good choice because new snapdragon is superb. It's super fast and battery life is amazing. I'm getting 5hours of screen on time on 2k resolution, 120hz and I have 50percent battery left.
