A one outstanding and matchless device actually. By the way, people, micro SD card support is quite really important. You can buy 1 TB or even 2 TB cards (when it will be finally available ke) and store all of your lifetime photos in it. That is a thing! This is a major must in my opinion. I think the flagship phone should include support of the external cards.

Anonymous, 20 Apr 2023Jesus Christ. This opinion section is full of sd card cr*p.... moreBy that logic, USB sticks (flash drives) are ancient too, so why are you using them?
MicroSD cards have the same shape since two decades, which is a benefit for backwards-compatibility, but their internal technology has significantly improved. Did you notice the massive increases in capacity?
But would you like to know what actually is ancient? Media Transfer Protocol. MTP. It has been trash in 2004 when Microsoft released it for their Zune player, and invariably still is trash. And without MicroSD, you are stuck with MTP when you need to transfer files between your phone and computer.

What do you do if your phone is bricked? You will wish that you had MicroSD.
Besides, that "1 people out of 1000" figure was made up by you out of thin air.

Jesus Christ. This opinion section is full of sd card cr*p. Only 1 people from 1000 is using that sd card. I have 256GB sd card somewhere inside a drawer collecting dust lol.
On the real news which is way more important than SD card I can tell you that after using it for almost 3months(I've got it February 2nd) It's an amazing device. Constant updates every single month, amazing camera(photos, videos are super amazing). Speed is out of this world for samsung. Battery is insane. Even if you are heavy user I highly doubt you can discharge this phone to 0% from 100% in a single day. No more issues with multitasking(exynos to be honest compared to this snap gen2 CPU is ancient like SD cards). Spen functionality is superb and accurate. I like just to lay around and draw something using "penup" program. Feels good in hand without the case. Screen is super bright outdoors even on auto brightness. By the way auto brightness works flawlessly at least for me. Highly recommend this device if you are reading this and checking for real opinion of daily user of this device.
Only one thing worth mentioning. It's not worth to buy 45w charger, buy 25w and you'll be fine. It's charges almost as fast as 45w one and it's cheaper(if it's same price go for 45w).

Kris17, 19 Apr 2023My gripe is with MTP alone. Now that you have mentioned it,... moreFlagships were originally about both speed and functionality. It appears however that the latter is decreasingly being regarded.
Flagship smartphones were once about giving users the confidence that they will be prepared for as many situations as possible, and that all features from their existing phone are covered so people can upgrade without the fear of losing anything.
This confidence was actually eliminated a long time ago already. I can even name an exact date: March 1st, 2015.
Before then, feature removals were rather trivial. On the Galaxy S4, released in early 2013, Samsung got rid of the three-level video bitrate selector in the camera software, and the S5 from 2014 had its air temperature and humdity sensors revoked. Also the Galaxy Note smartphones from the respective years lacked those features. While I was not exactly happy about it back then, that was only the top of the slippery slope, and up to that time, it was tolerable and well outweighed by the improvements.
Little did I expect, the big plunge came with the Galaxy S6.

Kris17, 19 Apr 2023My gripe is with MTP alone. Now that you have mentioned it,... moreMicroSD cards are usually pre-formatted by the vendor with exFAT, which is supported by pretty much any computer and mobile phone since the last decade, and was heroically open-sourced by Microsoft in 2019.
It mainly is not USB 2.0 that limits the speed of file transfer through USB, but the extremely poor ability of MTP, the Media Transfer Protocol, to handle many small files.
ADB (Android Debug Bridge) is apparently on Google's kill list, so better not get used to its convenience. Be prepared for Android OS to become the twin of iOS. Google has made it abundantly clear that the founding principle of Android OS, user freedom, means zilch to them. Nothing.

HT, 19 Apr 2023At least we agree that MTP is Massive Trash Protocol.
Ho... moreMy gripe is with MTP alone. Now that you have mentioned it, it bottlenecks all file transfers of ALL Android phones to USB 2.0. It is also something that can be fixed by software. The problem with it, it is a standardized protocol. Hard to remove.
For me, flagship is speed, speed is everything. Which is why it doesn't bother me that flagships don't have the SD card slot. Haven't used it in 5 years, no issues. Ejecting, formatting, and re-inserting is considered time wasted. I just want to plug-in and transfer.
However, this clunky MTP does, say, if you want to transfer files 300GB+. Must result to adb push. It must be improved. Google! You can do it! Pretty please?!

Anonymous, 19 Apr 2023when did oppo xiamo and vivo became top camera phones XDWhere have you been living these days? It's 2023 man, come out of the cave then update your knowledge. Samsung is a famous brand, but does mean it has good camera quality. The camera quality of the S23 Ultra is even worse than the S22 Ultra last year. There are at least 4-5 topics on XDA confirmed by many users this problem.
For comparison between phones, try searching anywhere S23 Ultra camera vs Vivo X90 Pro Plus, Oppo Find X6 Pro or Xiaomi 13 Ultra, even dead phone no Google Huawei P60 Pro. No one concluded that Samsung S23 Ultra has better camera, except 1 or 2 guys that received money from Samsung to review.
I know Samboys are a lot, but accepting the truth is not that hard.

Still going on about SD Cards? Omg, some people really have time on their hands. Why don't you continue on other flagship pages? None have SD cards anymore, except Sony. One valid point tho. MTP needs to be replaced.
To think, we have super fast UFS4.0 that can move data 4000Mbps, we have a super fast USB 3.2 port that can move data at 20Gbps. To be bogged down by an ancient software protocol that is as ancient as the SD card itself?? Android really needs an update for this in future releases, a new standardization. I mean, not everyone knows how to overcome MTP by using adb or at least ftp. Common Google, how is this still an issue??

For me, I stopped storing music on my cell phones many years ago. I only stream my music. From either one of my Plex machines at home, or a music streaming service. I've not had any issues with it, since I have cell service 99.99% of the time here in the DC area. On Verizon. Even in a building without a DAS. I will still get cell service when I'm several sub-basement levels down.
