Anonymous, 29 Aug 2024Yes, of course people are allowed to express their opinions... moreSome phones that Samsung makes don't bring in major profits (like some M/F/C/XYZ duplicate "models"), but they continue to produce them anyway, despite compact budget phones having a bigger profit potential than them. Because many of their decisions aren't based on profit, but just on the whim of drunken decision makers who got up on the wrong side of the bed that day.

Anonymous, 29 Aug 2024In truth, many customers do not buy their phone based on th... moreYou can't always get what you want, even the people who have enough money to buy those compact flagships I'm sure have other problems they have to deal with and that they can't fix themselves. Sometimes you just have to make do with what you got, that's the reality of life.
Just like the anon below me stated, corporations care more about profits than customers, especially not the vocal minorities. Many people I see online criticize and make fun of Apple for not innovating enough ever since Tim Cook took over, but guess what? They're still the no. 1 smartphone company for god knows how many years in a row, because most people keep buying their products anyway.

If you want answers, maybe go ask the people who are in charge of the company, or people who work for the phone industry in general.

Anonymous, 27 Aug 2024If it's true that "no one buys them", then c... moreBecause many devices that Samsung makes have nothing to do with large or small sales numbers, since many of their models are to a tiny customer base. As such, there's no reason for them not to make compact budget phones which would bring in a larger profit than these M and F phones. The reason why they're not producing compact budget phones is just to stick it to those who aren't rich and can't afford the expensive compact S phones.

1) The... moreYes, of course people are allowed to express their opinions, but just remember that companies aren't your friends. As long as they keep riling in profits, they won't care about the small percentage of vocal buyers complaining about the lack of affordable compact phones.
For businesses, money speaks more than customer outcries do, so as long as people keep buying their gargantuan phones, budget or flagship, nothing will ever change.

Anonymous, 28 Aug 2024Quote: "Problem is you're looking at production f... moreIn truth, many customers do not buy their phone based on the size. Thus, how many big or small phones sell is not indicative of what size people truly prefer. The only way to actually tell people's size preferences based on sales numbers is if you have two identical phones, one's big and the other is compact. Then you can see how many each one sells, otherwise there can be other specs or considerations that causes people to buy a phone even if the size is not their first preference. All the commenters talking about how there's no demand for compact phones based on this-or-that-model's sales numbers really don't have the foggiest idea what they're talking about. Especially since there isn't even any affordable compact options IN EXISTENCE anymore for years, so consumers are forced to buy big budget ones even if they do not like the size or weight. They just can't afford expensive compact options.
Rule to always remember: when it comes to phones, demand does NOT drive supply, it’s the other way around. Customers are forced to make do with whatever is available, even if none of the existing options is what they really want.
As an example, imagine if someone said “No one in the U.S. purchased the A55/A34/A33, this means no one wants them”. Hey fellas, those models are NOT SOLD in the U.S. so people who want them CAN’T GET THEM.
The same applies to compact budge phones worldwide. Many want them, but they CAN'T GET THEM, so they're FORCED TO BUY BIG ONES.

1) The small phone lovers aren’t asking for ONLY their preference, but rather IN ADDITION to big phones there should be compact ones too. It’s the big phone lovers that think the world revolves around them and are trying to suppress anyone else’s preference from being accommodated. They’re the ones saying that because THEY don’t think people like small phones, it shouldn’t exist.
2) Your comment about the freedom of companies is bizarre. Is someone forcing companies to do anything? Or are people just expressing their opinions?
