Hands get tired after 15 minutes of use, and it really weighed down my pocket. So I returned it and got the Pixel 6A which isn't perfect, but much better than the giant A55.

All exactly the same device with perhaps some slight modification in some of them. Each version for another country or two, maybe even just one city, or street. Who even knows.
This is what the brilliant Samsung is up to, and how they spend their free time. But even one new compact mid-range phone is obviously too much for them. Poor thing.

X6 pro is a great upper mid range phone if you can stomach big phones but I'll keep my s24 , wouldn't buy it full rpp tho thb.

That's more than enough for 6-7 years of usage compared to the cheapest variant of the Galaxy S24, despite the shorter software support span of Xiaomi phones.

You get 256 GB and same or better specs at half the price for any better quality chinese phone!
And after 1 year 1/2 my S21 had green lines all over the screen, sorry warranty is over they say...

Anonymous, 03 Sep 2024Maybe because Xiaomi and Poco don't have many users in... moreYou think? Xiaomi may not sell their phones in the US, but they're the world's #2 Android maker at the moment. They've shipped 42M phones in Q2 2024, which is just behind Apple at 45M, and Samsung at 53M.
They may have shipped 9M less phones than Samsung, but 42M is hardly a small number at all. And if you think it's because they don't release as many phones this year as Samsung, you're wrong. Xiaomi have so far released 25 phones in 2024, whereas Samsung have only released 17.
So what's the conclusion then? Xiaomi users don't care about compact phones as much as Samsung users, so hardly anyone asks for them to be made?

I don't know why it's listed as having a 256gb 12gb ram model on gsmarena because it doesn't exist as far as I'm aware.

And Samsung actually is "able to cater to your needs" (i.e. compact budget phone), they just don't WANT to.
But I agree with you that all budget customers should leave Samsung. Maybe that'll teach them that budget customers are not to be stepped on. Samsung produces tons of similar budget phones as if they're different "choices" to fool and trick people.

im enjoying my s24. wish i had enough money to grab the 12/256 version when i bought it but realistically its not like im a heavy phone gamer. the ~20g weight reduction compared to my last phone is very welcome.
