Non-curved display and 13:6 (19.5:9) aspect ratio (not that irregular 193:90). Even though it's big because it's also an handheld electronic canvas.

The... moreI know bro, I am also android user specifically samsung since note series were first launched but software companies should make attempts so that atleast the imei couldn't change. More recently i am facing wifi connection failed issue in offline mode on s23 ultra. I am waiting for ui 6.1, hope it will fix. If not, will shift to apple.

Also, why would you trade in one of the best Android phones, with clean stock Android, for something just slightly better?
I mean, yeah, S24U is more powerful, but you already knew that Pixel 8 Pro is not a very powerful phone (compared to SD phones). So, I am guessing is not only because of performance. Also, I am guessing the software customization that Google is doing with the Pixel phones is better than what Samsung is doing with the One Ui. Or at least, this is my feeling.
I would have understood if you came from some iPhone or some older Samsung phones. Did you had problem with the Pixel 8 Pro, or why did you sold it? I am curious now, because I was actually thinking of buying that phone over the S24U. In Czechia the Pixel 8 Pro cost much less than the S24U. Maybe 400EUR less (for the base models). Of course, the S24U will probably come down in price at some point in near future, but I am not expecting more than 150-200EUR discounts. Still more expensive than the Pixel 8 Pro.

Apple just have good marketing and fanbase, that is one of the things that gave it good value, let apple outsource IOS and see if it will remain in the market for long lol.

jiyen235, 18 Jan 2024Can anyone tell me who makes the screen to body ratio figur... moreYes there definitely something seriously wrong with the screen-to-body ratio calculation, for example, it doesn't make any sense that the iPhone 15 with thick bezels and a huge dynamic island gets 86,4% while the S23 with thinner bezels and a small camera cutout gets almost the same ratio (86,8%).
With the S24 Ultra the explanation is pretty simple tho, now it has a flat screen instead of a curve one

1. apple didn't invent titanium and every company has the right to use it, it isn't a break through just makes phones feel premium and lighter.
2. Apple wasn't the first to use neither of these screen types and that doesn't mean people copied them rather why not say apple copied them and dont say apple innovated it because we all know that's a lame excuse. Here are examples of what you mentioned others copy from apple:
- The IBM Simon was the first of its kind when it came out in 1992. This phone was the 1992 version of today's I-Phone. It was touch screen, portable, had a calculator, email, and could work on networks.
- Samsung Galaxy Round is an Android phablet smartphone produced by Samsung Electronics. Unveiled in October 2013, it is a curved variation of the Galaxy Note 3 that was distinguished by being the first commercially produced smartphone to feature a curved display.
3. Apple again was not the first company to use 3d wallpapers nor always on display and here's why you're wrong:
- Nokia was the first to have an always on display. This technology was first introduced by Nokia in on the Nokia N70 and Nokia 6303 (on TFT display in 2008), and more widely adopted with its next generation AMOLED Symbian phones in 2010 (the Nokia N8, C7, C6-01 and E7).
- it is art and not apples invention, they just paid an artist to make them backgrounds.
- Android Devices:
Google Pixel Series: From the original Pixel to the latest models, all support live wallpapers.
Samsung Galaxy Series: Especially from the Galaxy S3 onwards.
OnePlus: Most OnePlus devices, starting from OnePlus 3.
Huawei & Honor: Many of their flagship and mid-range phones.
Others: Brands like LG, Motorola, and Xiaomi also offer devices with live wallpaper capabilities.
Whilist iPhone used them since iPhone 6s and 6s Plus and later iPhone 7 to the current 15.
4. price bump is just something any company would do for maximum/more profit and this doesn't also mean its a copycat move, it happens everywhere in the tech industry (Intel vs AMD or AMD vs Nvidia for example), also the prices depend on where the phone releases and iPhones in my country always are expensive and ther prices keep going higher due to it's social value, Samsungs has always been cheaper/same priced as it's competitors.
5. sure i can agree on that with you but based on early reviews, the samsung still did better with their 5x (50MP) zoom camera and note that samsung improves their phone software a lot and it shows with the s23 ultra it looks much better than it used to be early on.
6. that is infact not true, what you think of is xiaomi's miui that looks like iPhone's samsung's always been different even the newer one screams android rather than ios copy.
7. most companies stopped giving chargers in their flagships except for a few and the change is a business strategy for those companies to save extra money and earn more money, at least the charger isn't overpriced.
8. OPPO was the first major brand to ditch the headphone jack with the OPPO Finder a full four years before the iPhone, and again with its mid-tier OPPO R5 in fall 2014.
9. so it was for s22 and s21 with minor changes, "if it ain't broken, why change it?' same thing with iPhones they haven't changed much since the iPhone 11 and i don't see anyone complaining about it.
"no one is gonna buy a phone for 1300" meanwhile pre orders are almost out in most european countries and it's taking a heavy hit on the websites for their sides. surely no one will buy it such a failure phone omg!!! iPhone 15 pro max is so goood and better!!11!!!
clearly you're either an apple fanboy or overly biased towards iPhones which means you're part of the social value iPhones are better because they are so cool and i get everyone to look at me like celebrity.
