I bought the S24 Ultra and was disappointed with the color shift. I only tilted the phone slightly off-axis and it was turning blue. I compared it to my iPhone 15 Pro and that had hardly any color shift. I checked the DXOMARK review of the display and they even flagged up the viewing angles. I know this is the OLED lottery, but I honestly expected better consistency from Samsung's flagship.

katarighe, 08 Oct 2024I bought this phone two months ago replacing my overheating... moreNo doubt S24 Ultra is a very good phone but I still have my S21 Ultra (exynos) & it's still blazing fast with zero issues & still giving me over 6 hours of screen on time (minus games) as I've a Samsung tab for that purpose. I've enabled the following to get the best out of my phone:

Settings- connections- more connection settings- turn off nearby scanning & default print service,
Go to wi-fi click 3 dots on the upper right go to "intelligent wi-fi" - turn on wi-fi power saving mode.
Go to settings- Google- all services- devices- turn off "scan for nearby devices" then go to usage & diagnostics & turn it off.
If you use Facebook a lot then go to settings-media- choose "never autoplay videos".
For YouTube go to settings-general- playback in feeds- turn it off.

These little tips will save power on your phone & you'll be able to use your phone for longer hours.

I bought this phone two months ago replacing my overheating Galaxy S21 Ultra, and I have to say the performance and battery life are excellent.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor performs very well, doesn't overheat too much unlike the Exynos processor and can handle decent tasks such as games and streaming.

Battery life improves when switching between 120 Hz and 60 Hz, as well as using WiFi and limiting 4G/5G data usage. One day, I charged my S24 Ultra to 100% at 5:30 AM, and it reached 0% at 9:37 PM, lasting for 6 hours and 41 minutes of screen-on time.

Since the One UI 6.1.1 update last month, nothing has changed, except that I lost the classic Smart Select features on my phone.

If the battery life isn’t as good, I simply clear the phone's cache via recovery and run App Booster via Good Guardian, which helps me achieve the best battery life.

And if, in a few years, the battery life declines, I’ll just replace the phone's battery entirely, as I plan to keep the S24 Ultra longer unlike what I did to other Samsung Galaxy phones I had in the past 8 years.

Harry Bouras, 03 Oct 2024We didnt expect much innovation either when the iPhone was ... moreIf I'm gonna spend more than $1000 on a phone, I better pick something that's highly versatile like the S24 Ultra - excellent display, great performance, plenty of storage, good battery life, S Pen, and Samsung DeX. What more could you ask for in a phone, honestly?

The Pixel 9 Pro XL has better cameras, more RAM, and a cleaner software, that's just about it. Everything else, especially performance, are way inferior to the S24 Ultra. Not to mention the Pixel is currently more expensive and the base model has less storage.

You can transfer your data if you run out of storage. Highly unlikely because 512gb or 1tb are already enough unless you record 8k video.

My S24 Ultra is burning hot while playing games. It's not horrible, games run well unless it's really hot in summer, but I expected more. The reality is game experience wasn't that different between Note20 Ultra Exynos and S24 Ultra - at least for me.
