You can literally buy the OnePlus 13 and save $125 instead of wasting money on this overpriced device in India. Who would pay $922 for this? Samsung is becoming the Apple of the Android world.

There are 2 proximity sensors:
1- a virtual proximity sensor (Samsung Palm Proximity Sensor V2)
2- an actual hardware proximity sensor (appears to be inaccessible by any third-party app without workarounds)
The Phone app appears to be the only app allowed to use the physical sensor. These Samsung proximity oddities aren’t new, however, and seem to date back at least to the S23 generation, where every phone, including the Ultra, has the same Samsung Palm Proximity Sensor V2 sensor that behaves in the same odd way... WTF Samsung!

is it true that both S24 & S25 have virtual proximity sensors? It looks like S23 had a physical proximity sensor, but I read claims that it was quietly removed on the S24 (& hence S25)

Jay, 07 Feb 2025No FM radio, phone too thick (the S20 is nicer), screen too... moreThen go back to 2020, buy the S20! Samsung ditched the FM radio since 2014

You can get TWO USED S24's for the price of one new S25. They're almost identical. In fact, the S24 has nicer colors, nicer camera design & S24 has louder speakers!
It's been only a year since the S24 came out, that means most refurbished S24 models are lightly used.

I currently have the Nord 3 for a few days now and i think i'm done with large phones. The ideal phone size i think is a Pixel 8/9 or a Xiaomi 14/15.
I have never considered the new Galaxy S25 series as they remain very expensive to me. And updates have been incremental. And in some quarters there has been downgrades. I'm happy to be proven wrong.
S24 FE perhaps?

Can anyone say is the image IQ any better than S24/S23? I know hardware is the same so theoretically IQ should be the same. But the new processor and AI improoved S25 Ultras (same old) camera performances quite visibly. This question is a decider to me. I'm torn between S24 and S25.
