Wait... So all the hardware in the S25 is effectively the same as the S24, but the S25 costs double? What am I missing here?

they should offer more of these similar sized phones at other budgets as well instead of pushing us to buy premium.

But the question s how long it will take. The S25 is a good phone, not excellent, nor it can rely on innovative features that competitors lack.

I am puzzled by Samsung...it's like they don't even try anymore...like they gave up already and surrendered to the chineses. Maybe they know something we don't...

Guys'n'gals, I'm on Nokia 8 and have been using it for more than 6 years. I need an upgrade, really need a new phone, I prefer a compact device. But I can't justify the price. I thought about S24 but it's exynos one here not snapdragon. I recently bought a Xiaomi 14T, not opened the box yet so I can return it without a loss.
Should I bite the bullet and get this lovely blue S25?

Rp, 20 Feb 2025No change in design , I don't know why they are doing ... moresince 2020 every phone company is recycling same design and features chinese phones are no expection they are all look same with UI who looks like mix between OneUI and iOS xddd

Because of the ancient slow 25w charging. Unless the A36 or A56 surprises us. Deal breakers for me are the overall size and weight (I would still say a Pixel 8/9, Xiaomi 14/15 or even a Moto Edge 50 Neo IMO are perfect sizes for me), fast charging (45w?) and yes the cameras; a decent/ mid of the road chipset would suffice for me. it has to support either Dolby Atmos or universal spatial audio with a bit of bass and hi-res audio support are also deal breakers for me. I'm happy to wait what Nothing will bring out to the table too with my aforementioned "requirements". Any more advice?

Though the deals right now (£150 off + free 67w fast charging brick included) are rather tempting.

No change in design , I don't know why they are doing like this . Simply selling high price without any new innovation. No one should buy new mobile then only this brand like samsung and apple will change some new

Gino76ph, 18 Feb 2025Even though it's an Exynos chipset?Ain't much of a difference between Exynos 2400 & SD unless you're a hardcore gamer, it does the day to day job quite well. If you start pixel peeping the pictures or are glued to the phone 24x7 then you might notice some difference.

i believe the s25 is the only one with true bypass charging of the 3 as well, if that matters for you, else its really indifferent. no chipset in the price range is going to really disappoint you, unless youre trying to emulate switch at higher than native res or something.

Anonymous, 19 Feb 2025e2400 is roughly equivalent to an 8g2 in cpu efficiency, an... moreThe Pixel 9's price has reverted back to it's original selling one so i am reverting back to Xiaomi 14T again as price is down to £399 which is at its cheapest. Comparing it with a Nord 3 in many ways it is better. If only i could get my head around the supposed focus hunting issues when taking a video.
I'm inclined to sideline the S24 not because of it's chipset but because the size is just a bit too small for me. And the charging times is slow. And it's got only 8GB RAM.
Any more alternatives to the Pixel 9 / Xiaomi 14T / S25? (nothing bigger or more expensive).

i really wish gsmarena would actually list what has bypass charging, as its really not a standard feature in most android phones (no, its not just limiting your battery to 80%)

SAM, 18 Feb 2025S24 is still a very good phone to buy. Go, grab it!!Even though it's an Exynos chipset?
