I did same thing as you with my Galaxy Alpha right after its last kitkat update back in january.

First of all, did you do a factory rest after upgrading to Lollipop? If not then do that right away. I hear that makes Lollipop run more efficiently.
Personally I wanted to stick to KitKat from day one so I turned off automatic updates. It was tricky at first because at one point even when I turned it off it kept on telling me that there were new updates...this was when I first got the S5 back in October last year. At the time the update I believe was KitKat 4.4.3...whereas the original OS that comes with the S5 was KitKat 4.4.2. I wanted to stay with the orginal seeing that I just got the phone and wanted to get accustomed to the original OS before upgrading to others.
I had to do a factory reset to get rid of the forcing updates because once it got downloaded I didn't see any way of deleting the download. It just kept sitting there in the notification panel waiting to be installed. It was so stubborn that I had to keep on doing a factory reset and make sure I didn't connect to my Wi-Fi when the setup wizard came up...because once you are online...even before the wizard is completed...your goose is cooked. I did about 5 factory resets before I could make the auto-update setting stacy intact so I wouldn't get any OTA (Over The Air) updates. It was a bit tricky but 8 months later my S5 doesn't even attempt to search for updates and I'm not going near that setting either because I don't want to update to Lollipop after hearing about ALL the HORROR stories that S5 owners have been experiencing since they upgraded to it.

Anonymous, 12 Jun 2015heart rate sensor, water proof all are just gimmick..I don't know of those features being a gimmick. The imitation versions of the S5 are the gimmicks because the fingerprint is said to be stored in the device but it doesn't work. I went to a waterfall recently and my S5 basically got a shower and everything worked perfectly and still working perfectly after several weeks of that waterfall trip. People who speak the way you do either don't own a S5 or don't understand how to operate/utilise it properly.
