In build quality, and of course software optimization. There is not another worse skin like TouchWiz, Samsung really has done a great job.
However the camera of M8 is pretty crap.

what is the point in having 4k video with just
Card slot - microSD, up to 128 GB
Internal - 16/32 GB storage
we need a lot more space to store video or else the u can hardly have few mts of video and the memory will be empty .. hoping Samsung will look through it in future models ...atleast a 128gb internal and microsd upto 256 GB will be fine .

Guys, just go tohtc one m8x asian version which is clocked also at speed of 2.5ghz quadcore,you will never encounter any lags as compare to s5.im using s5 and htc one m8r based on my opinions htc one m8r is far superior among the two in all aspects..i love the built of htc one m8r compare to my s5..m8r is the best smartphones out there.

Hi i am from India, Bought this phone at 50000INR and within a month it is dropped by almost 13000Rs. Easily available in price range of 36 to 37k. Not good policy by Samsung. I can understand a drop of 2 to 4 thousand rupees but this is not acceptable. Could you belive a second hand s5 is easily available for 31k... means a loss of more than 20000 rupees.

And not all people dislike what you dislike in S5.
Go and start manufacturing your own phone.

I'm currently traveling in south America so only just got a look at the S5 recently. performance aside what a disappointment to hold. If there's one thing I hate it's plastic trying to pretend it's metal. I'm writing this on my S2 which is great but due for an upgrade. Even though many complain that the S5 shape is same or similar to its predecessors that's not a problem for me I think rounded corners is the most superior shape from a durability and practical standpoint. Rounded corners makes it slip in your pocket easily and its less likely to break when you drop it and it lands on the corner (unless its a sharp cornered phone on a soft floor). So the shape is perfect as far as I'm concerned just the materials used. The dimpled back is ugly as well.
Change the edging to metal (or better still the whole phone) I don't care about the weight. Keep the waterproofing that's a winner for sure, ditch the heartrate monitor, add digital radio receiver (my S2 has radio which I love without needing internet connection or extra batteries for Bluetooth headphones) , add extra batterylife, 64 bit (yeah I know it's early but I want to grow into a phone rather than our of it), more RAM, dual stereo speakers, stereo Mike recording with sensitivity adjustment for live recordings, 4k display with tv out, keep expandable microSD slot and replacement battery, great camera, then you've got my perfect phone.
like I said I don't need to upgrade every year. I'll keep my S2 for now. The list above is not absurd and will happen in time.

Sean, 23 May 2014You are over reacting to this issue. A simple software upda... moreIt's a hardware issue. Sony just designed a thin phone and sacrificed the cooling system. If it was a mere software update, they could have just given it out ASAP since its first reported nearly 2 months now.
Who cares about 4k video? It's like, "who needs Full HD?" about a few years ago. I take a few 4k recording for fantastic detailed videos that will probably be considered as low res in the future.
Damn waste of money spent if this feature is only limited to 1 to 3 minutes of recording - i.e., Sony gave you something that isn't working properly.
