I got the s5 and it is incredible. I dont know why everybody is arguing about the plastic body. Its the best feature of the phone, removable battery. It costs close to €100 to replace an iphone battery and it has to be sent away for a few days( which turns into a few weeks) and about €10 to replace a samsung battery(can do that yourself). And if your complaining about the "feel" of it, anybody who really cares about their phone is going to get a case for it so your actually going to be feeling the leather case and not the plastic back. This is hands down the best phone out there at the moment. Not too big, can still operate it with one hand

The design is a backstep from that of the S4. The processing power is impressive for a smartphone of this size. The screen is nice and clear, and the heart rate monitor is a nice addition for those that use s-health. The memory of 16gb internal should really be being pushed to 32gb from this point onwards. The UI and the way Samsung use Android has taken a step back. Many of the useful pinch to select different pages has been taken away, meaning it has the feel of every other smartphone, that in my opinion was what made Samsung different. It is a shame to lose that, and i hope in future that they will bring it back. I hope even more that the Note 4 will be using Samsungs older overlay, as again I am not a fan of the new version. Samsung have been my favorite brand for years now, but the s5 has lost a lot of my respect. The Note 3 is still by far my favorite phone on the market, and i truly hope that they regain the features that defined them in future.

why is everyone interested in just commentating on the camera ? They are both good, but the phone itself I would say the M8 gives you more value for your money as you can see the improvements . S5 is a flop, the Telcos in Malaysia were ready, but the whole thing tanked. My take is that within a few months Samsung will out another model or else it will sink . Look out for HTC to soar. Apple has nothing to worry about with the launch of S5, but if they do not come out with something like a minimum 4.7in screen, well they are going to lose out . They cannot continue to rely on their laurels which is what they have maximised at the moment.

[deleted post]You need to see this camera shootout between Galaxy S5 vs HTC One M8.

                  http://blogs.computerworld.com/smartphones/23772/galaxy-s5-vs-htc-one-m8-camera

You can decide which phone has the better camera after seeing this review. It seems to me the HTC M8 slightly better than the Galaxy S5.

Similarly, Samsung claims that the Galaxy S5 has the world fastest auto-focus speed. However, reviewer's comment as follows "but the One (M8) is significantly snappier at focusing and capturing images. The GS5 is by no means slow, but the One is practically instantaneous."

You can pour water into the headphone jack and nothing happens. If you mean the connector port in the bottom then no. This has to be covered for the water resistance.

AnonD-121248, 11 Apr 2014Oh my God! What a beauty this is! Truly the best up till now. What's the special beauty on it ??? Is this the best one available at the market.??? The price..??? after one year goes to half.... Reply please..

[deleted post]Rated on India 51500... After a year 27000.. For one year usage we have to pay ????.. I disposed my Note 2 after 13 months of average use with some minor body scratches, especially the metal coating of the rectangled, for a thrown away price.. Because now the retail price comes to 27000..of course I am not a Samsung hater.. I just hate the designs of Samsung phones...build quality.. Please check out the designs of ttheir smartphones... Most of them are same.. Now I am using Gionee E7 32 gb with a very nominal price.. I lost 30000 for a year of usage of Note 2..
