AnonD-239689, 10 Mar 2014Yes I can move on, but the fact that data bandwidth is stil... moreHere in UK bandwidth were I am is poor and lots of UK has no signal that's why I hate cloud..Until whole of UK is covered with fast internet connection all my data is on phone hence I use 64gig card.. Don't listen to radio so does not affect me but for those who need it like you it is a let down.
Either have to use a separate radio or go to another phone or use one of the older Galaxys,,I still use S2 because it has Music player instead of Sound Alive player which is why ive tried but not kept S3 and S4..Looks like S5 will be Sound Alive as well because numerous emails to Samsung say the Music player on Wave,,Galaxy s and Galaxy S2 was sacrificed for the new Sound Alive player..The S2 had the lot plus Super Amoled Plus screen..

But for me, I don't need built-in radio, I prefer the internet radio app because I can tune in to my country's FM radio and be updated with my country's news even if I am in foreign lands.
Built in radio cannot update me of my country's news when I travel in foreign country.

And bluetooth headset is better than the messy wired headset required to activate the phone's radio.

I will embrace cloud services and everything online as long as they make data connection unlimited and cheap. We are still not there. Maybe you guys has lighting fast connections that's why you can say this stuff, you can never understand us who have poor and limited connections.

Yes internet radio is better than FM but FM still has uses. Unlike a floppy disk being replace by CD, CD is better in every aspect than floppy disk, it is cheaper and can contain more data. Internet radio requires expensive data plans that has monthly bandwidth limitations, and not all areas has good internet connection specially when you are travelling, you will loose what you are listening when the connection is lost.

The focus has shifted to wireless, FM needs a fairly large wired antenna accessory to be connected to the phone. -- What's there to miss?
You could at least say they could try delaying the inevitable by still designing the phone so that 3rd party ear buds could still act as a FM antenna, but then again, that's not understanding that their agenda has really shifted to new wireless accessories -- that goes against keeping alive a reason to stick to wired (the irony of the fact is that you would be sticking to obsolete wired accessories so that you could get a wireless broadcast that is readily available with something else much more efficiently than with those accessories + mobile phone).
