I've used almost all of the S phone (Never used S1 and 2) and this is my least favorite one.
This phone was really hype, the fact that Sammy was moving away from the ugly plastic and into aluminum and glass and the upgrade to 1440p but the removal of the SD card slot REALLY ruined it all. And also the battery is awful, even when it came out.
When the S7 came out i completely forgot about the S6

I have tried this in the past and have also tried eith the combination of volume and home button and connecting yo a usb cable vonnected to a pc, but the phone behins to just charge.
The only option is to give the phone to the Service Centre and they will open the phone and fix the power button.
Incase anyone comes across another option kindly let me know.

I checked o... moreHi friend, try this: press and hold the volume button for a few seconds, meanwhile plug the usb cable to a computer, wait until the phone switch on download mode, then press volume button again to cancel the operation, once it is canceled the phone should restart automatically on normal mode.

My 2015 S6 Edge, power button has got stuck.
I checked online and found ways that I can turn off and on the phone without the power on button.
I managed to turn off the phone. But when I want to turn it on by holding tge volume button and connecting the cable that is connected to a pc, the phone just begins to charge.
I have tried various combination of volune key and home key abd connecting it to a cable, but it does not help and I am unable to turn on my phone.
Someone pls kindly help. Thank you..

If you are looking to buy this then yeah go ahead. ;) ive been using this from the release of it till now. I gotta saw that the battery has became much worse but you gotta see its age, it can last 1.4 hours for me and, i barely have any lag, in some high end games like call of duty mobile, i can play very smoothly with no lag at all

Every time I try to connect my S6 to my car (Android Auto), an android message appears and then disappears saying that USB cable is connected. I am using the original cable, the USB debugging is activated, and the USB configuration is on MTP. Do you know how to fix this issue?

I am still using this phone. It's a piece of junk. Can't even view Amazon app without freezing up and getting hot. Gyro sensor and front button is broken. Samsung health sensors all broken. Battery might last half a day if i barely touch the phone at all.
Fortunately I can still send messages, take photos, and browse Youtube, but what phone can't do that? My brother's Iphone 6s still seems to be working perfectly.

It actually says that it's upgradeable to Android 8.0 (Oreo) but mine as well is upgradeable to Android 7.0 (Nougat) but it's still a good phone. There's no heating issue.

The S6 is now hitting six years old. There's a lot of aftermarket (non-genuine) batteries posing as genuine Samsung.

Ivy, 09 Oct 2020Hello! can we buy a new battery..it says it's unremovable...It's not easily/normal user removable. But if you are determined and have the right tools, you can open it up like a repair shop would do and get the battery replaced. I just saw listing of the battery in some stores on Amazon. Many video guides on YouTube makes it even easier.

I have one but it's broken and doesn't boot. Even when you charge it nothing happens. God I want to revive this device, It's so awesome
