how is the new update??? i received the update 2 days ago and still afraid of installing it because of i heard about the camera downgrade in quality...plz tell me is the camera quality still the same after the update?? or is there any changes samsung made to the quality ??

Anonymous, 24 Nov 2017I also update via OTA, and have updated several times alrea... moreGot my S7 back from Service center, don't what n how did they fix the issue but now my mobile works normally. Will never update via OTA using mobile data anymore. will alwys use Wi-Fi to update.

Anonymous, 25 Nov 2017I am trying to find out if S7 is OTG compatible. Does anybo... moreIn EU the S7 comes with an adapter for USB straight in the box (in which you can connect normal usb drive). I think in all videos I could find that was also the case and some must've been from US as well.

Battery optimization in the October update is so aggressive. Samsung Music closes automatically and disappears from the multitasking view after several minutes.

Never noticed that. Very minor change. The camera quality has surely degraded slightly after the update. I'm telling this after extensively using the camera post the update. Samsung has effectively ruined the already excellent camera on the S7 after the update and now, it's as good as cheap junk Chinese phones. Make the brightness full and open the camera app. In artificial and low lightning condition (in both auto and pro mode) you can see visible noise in the viewfinder. Marcos or close-up shots show noise when zooming in, especially around the corners (blurred background) in artificial and low lightning conditions and to some extent, in daylight as well. Even in pro mode with ISO set to 50 or 80, there's visible noise especially in the corners. Noise is also visible in the viewfinder if you crack up the brightness. This wasn't the case with the camera before the October level Android security patch update. The S7 & S8 have similar camera quality so Samsung has intentionally screwed the camera quality on the S7, as part of planned obsolescence to frustrate the users enough so we buy their new flagship phones. Every other companies does it.. This isn't a new phenomenon. If you carefully examine the camera after the update, you'll notice what I'm talking about. Now I'm looking to downgrade the software back to August Level Security Patch or might just sell it to buy another more capable camera phone.

Earlier they all were highlighted with a white background beneath, like if the speaker button is pressed, it used to be convert into green with a circular white background, but now it just turns green...
I'll have to check the camera... I didn't notice what happened to it...
