It's normal for delays between the first to receive an update and the last to receive an update. For example I also have a S20 Plus 5g as well as a S8 Plus and the S20 Plus 5g is STILL on the September update when many people have received October update weeks ago.

Good news - October Security update is live in some regions. It might take a while to get to you, depending on where you are etc but good news that the S8's are still receiving monthly updates considering that Samsung said that S8's would move to quarterly updates some time ago.
Don't know the size of update and it's only a security update with no other changes reported.

Is it getting heated a... moreWell i will say no i didnt experienced any kind of performance issues i have updated to september security patch and it is perfectly fine and normal as before. you can try resetting your phone and clear the cache if you have any issues it might fix them

Anonymous, 26 Sep 2020I didnt got yet i am waitingI can reassure you that it is normal for users to receive the update at different times (if you were unaware of this) I just happened to get the update quite early, although there have been users that have received the update before me. Users in Germany started to receive first according to some reports. As i said this is entirely normal.
Hopefully you won't have to wait too long :)
