Dear members
I have been using Samsung S8 plus 128 6 GB since few years.
From today the volume and Bixby buttons not functioning. It's working but can't decrease or increase the volume, Bixby not functioning, can't take screenshots. Can hear sounds through speakers.
Restarted the device.
Any advice will be helpful

anon, 03 Jan 2021Just a few hours ago, I had a relative bring this phone in ... moreI've not seen stutters or lags with my S8+ with almost 3 years of use and with 300+ apps installed. Sometimes, it is necessary to clean up the phone and apps as well as having something to control what apps boot up with the device and making sure that no unwanted apps are installed and any unnecessary apps requested during the boot process are disabled until you use them. It does require some third party apps, but its almost the same to me as running an old school PC. Don't forget to reboot it every couple of days.. I've been able to go a month without a reboot, although Android uses Java and because of that it starts to bug after awhile, its been getting better with each update.

Just a few hours ago, I had a relative bring this phone in to me to do a factory reset for them and help setting it up. For a flagship that cost a ton of money, the S8+ really disappoints. It stutters and lags when scrolling through settings -- Although I'm sure the benchmark performance is very good. The display is top notch, it feels nice in the hand (if a little slippery), the curved screen edges are a personal preference I suppose, I dislike them greatly. But something about its performance is off-putting. I say this as a user of an iPhone 7 and an Xperia X Compact (both launched 2016, so both old phones) -- I personally would not like to own this phone for day-to-day use. If you like large phones, there are better offerings from China nowadays for less money.
It's disappointing to see Samsung's once-flagship sit in the dust like this. No updates, poor usability, just all around a bad user experience.

I would do a factory reset and if its still happening take the phone to a Samsung repair centre for them to have a look at.

Is it s... moreThere is a single SIM slot S8 Plus AND a dual(2) SIM Slot S8 plus.
Please note though that the Dual (2) SIM S8 plus allows you to either put 2 SIM's in the phone or 1 SIM and 1 microSD card. You cannot put 2 SIMs AND a microAD card into the phone as there is only two available slots.
The single SIM S8 Plus also has two slots BUT you cannot put two SIMs into the two slots. ONLY 1 SIM and 1 microSD card.
