Metal frame ye... moreUnfortunately, the GN4 just got sold out again! I was in the process of ordering. And that's the end of it, and I do not want to get a second-hand unit.
Don't really care about the metal sides of it, just the fact that it's a slight improvement to the GN3. I would have put in a Zerolemon 10,000 mAh battery on it anyway. Well, it looks like I will be just waiting for the GN8 as my device... Or not - I'm only after a good camera, and I've seen some pretty small-factor action cameras, but their apertures are not that good.
I just see smartphone as hardware - the last generation pretty much does 95% of what the new ones do with slight improvements, but my GN3 is going to its 4th year. Just like PC hardware, I don't need to get the latest specs to do the same things, but 4 years is getting old. I'm not going crazy about that tall screen aspect. I'm not fooled into getting it for the pure smooth edge curves it has - which I already experienced with the GN7. I just want it for the fact that the camera is the best, and I can get it with an S7 right now. I use it to document my art projects and my processes. The S Pen is another consideration - GN7 has the best S Pen optimization compared with the Note 4. I have kept the GN7 S Pen for use with my GN3, and it is fantastic - finer lines can be achieved, levels of pressure have been improved.
S8/S8+ just do not have S Pen - that's why I'm not getting them as well.
I tried carrying two devices (GN3 with 10k mAh battery & GN7) for some days, and I hated it. We'll see what the GN8 will offer, and the plan was to get a Zerolemon battery case as I have planned to do so with the GN7.

QHD screen.
Very good battery endurance although it's not close to that of the A9 Pro.
The Camera is obviously not as capable as the S7/S8 but it's pretty good offering with OIS and can definitely perform well in decent light situations.
And of course, S-Pen.
You can think about the Note8 later, after taking your time with it's reviews (Remember the GN7?!). Till then don't be in a limbo, and just get the Note4. And even if you get the Note8, it can still function perfectly as a secondary backup phone and you get to keep it in your history books too. "Look kids, this was the last Samsung flagship with a removable battery "! :P

My last samsung product is Samsung Galaxy S3, the reason why I did not buy any Samsung product after that is :
1. Non removable battery
2. The price is too expensive compared to other similar products
IMO that's the main reason why Samsung products are getting less popular lately, my suggestion you should switch to OnePlus 5, please visit the XDA forum and find the reason why :D

the price is too high. i am sure samsung will reduce s8 + price for this handset within 2 months , and i think better to wait at least two month battery and heating issue always drawback in samsung handsets .

Maiooya., 25 Apr 2017Hi, so if i want to buy a phone.. Mate9 or s8 plus?? Having used both I'd certainly say the S8+. Its screen is a touch smaller but it is just more polished and the screen and camera are streets ahead. LCD screens just can't compete with AMOLED.
The Mi Max was a touch big for my liking but it is still a great phone that pushes current design boundaries.

I must apologize to Samsung.
One of the complains i had earlier was the email app. (not easily being able to register spam).
I have just figured out how to change my email from pop3 to imap which solves this matter.
If you have your own email domain and use multiple devices, PCs etc and are using pop3 protocol .... CHANGE TO IMAP ASAP.
All emails sent and received are automatically synced across all devices.
Can't believe i didn't do it years ago :-)

This is what GSMarena said in the review.
"When we plugged in our standard headphones clarity was barely affected so another point for the Galaxy S8+. Once again it wasn’t the loudest smartphone around but was in the top quarter so another solid showing by the Samsung flagship."

Can Any s8/s8+ user give me idea of audio quuality over headphone? I am impressed with the display but dont have any idea hows the audio performance via headphone? Coming from xperia z5 and it sounds great, any honest reply is highly appreciated :), audio is the sector about which i did not have any info about this device,so please reply :)

I wonder what your data usage is? One thing I did not like about the Note7 was the fact that it would only last me 5.5+ hours of SOT, on a 7-hour stretch, with some 20%+ left. This was on LTE, using 1GB of data. It improves to some 33% if I was on wifi, meaning I have gotten some 8 hours SOT.
I went back and had a close look at my battery usage of the Note7, and it reminded me how I had to carry around a powerbank again to keep up my usage till I get home. It's nice to hear that the processor has gotten more efficient, but when you really have to use LTE, it would still need the same amount of energy to operate the radios.
I was hoping to get a Zerolemon battery sleeve, and that didn't happen... It's just that I don't have to worry about power when I use a Zerolemon 10,000mAh extended battery DIRECTLY powering the device, and I know I don't have to charge and let my LTE data on all day.
Let us know how the S8+'s battery on LTE.

No stereo speakers,No FM Radio,luckily i purchased the C9 Pro have it all with stereo speakers output,FM Radio,6 GB of Ram and 4000mAh battery,right choice for me,never regret having C9 Pro.
