The last update kinda ruined VLC player for me. It took half a minute to rotate the display, video freezing etc. But I've managed to make it work again by clearing the VLC data and by clearing the cache from recovery:
- turn the power off and wait a minute
- press the key combination: Volume Up + Bixby + Power button (press and hold until you see a blue screen)
- navigate with the volume buttons to "clear cache" and use the power button to enter
- reboot phone after
As for everyone complaining about battery life, you guys need to uninstall/disable all the bloatware with adb tools. Right now I have 234 frozen system apks. Phone is flying, battery life goes about 1-2%/per night. Exynos version, unlocked, no root.
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com. package. example

But USB memory clearance didn... moreYou can change the charger or cable maybe it is faulty moreover you can clean the port with hairdryer at cold setting if you have one this may help because maybe there is some moisture in port or it is wet so you can try this

But USB memory clearance didn't work for me.
Other trick available in internet is also in vein.
Everytime i have to restart and plugin just before the boot up.

Anonymous, 08 Jun 2020It is good enough 7 to 8 hours on 50 percent brightness No 7-8 hours is impossible on s8 plus. I always use 30% brightness and it never gave me more than 6 hours screen on time

But moisture detected in t... moreYou can do one thing go in to the apps open usb settings and clear the cache of usb settings it may helps i had also that problem but i did this and the problem was solved and you can check the updates manually in settings software updates i am on may update and it is working just fine no problems at all

I am also impressed of s8 plus.
But moisture detected in the port issue made it useless.
So it is in rest now.
Will it get any update further ?
Last update i got in 1.12.2019 ( security update )
NOW Using Huawei mate 20 X ( giant 7.2 incher )
