      Ok, just to report here the progress, after i cleaned up the phone storage, i did the updates, so far so good, the BUG didn't show up. so i can confirm, that it's very much related to your storage being so full. so to avoid this bug, always keep your internal storage under 45GB. (at least 10GB free).

        I got april update but the battery drain is unbelievable, also my screen goes blank at 15% charge or lower and I dont have fast charge anymore

But, after the restart, it requires PIN code, at that moment, if you have this BUG, you'll be locked out as your PIN code will be denied, and biometric does not work after restart.

                    Anonymous, 13 Apr 2020Yes maybe the phone is not orignaldon't worry, i got the original one :) all apps have been successfully cloned to the new phone, all but the apps data, so i'm moving the apps data manually. so far the realme x2 pro phone is satisfying as expected. not as pricey as samsung's, but faster than samsung galaxy note 10.

                      Shahbaz khan, 12 Apr 2020I never faced this problem, may be your device is faulty Yes, perhaps that is true, however many people have this kind of problem here(Indonesia), I've asked the my local Samsung Center and they agree. If you google it, you can find the problem is quite common on Samsung S8 series, this is one of it ==> eu.community.samsung.com/t5/Other-Smartphones/S8-plus-screen-lock-pin-not-recognized

                      I think the risk of having this bug is higher if you have storage almost full most of the time. My overall storage was around 51~53GB, because I don't use microSD card, I need 2 SIM activated. I'm currently clearing the phone, as I already have my new Realme X2 Pro phone. Once I have moved everything out, I'll try to do the security updates, and let see if this problem still occurs.

                                      this phone has a very serious bug. whenever you i update my phone, it locks me out, it refuses my PIN code, as if the PIN code is wrong. But it still accept my biometric to unlock. the biometric unlock however, won't work if i restart the phone, because it requires PIN code and biometric won't work.

                                      there's a little temporary fix on this however. all i gotta do, is to let the phone completely out of battery to 0%, and then recharge it back, turn it on, and voila, the PIN code is accepted again as if nothing happen. after the PIN code is accepted, it is mandatory to change the PIN to anything else, so it will save the new PIN on flash.

                                      If somehow, you don't save the new PIN, and your phone got restarted, you'll end up get the same BUG again, and re-do the temporary fix i mentioned above.

                                      recently, i found another temporary fix on it. just active REMOTE UNLOCK feature on samsung account. so, when this bug happens, go to samsung website, unlock the phone (remove PIN), and then reset(save) a new PIN again.

                                      this BUG is seriously annoying, making me hesitate to do any new update. there's a new april 2020 update, and i'm just keep ignoring it. i have asked the local samsung store, and they told me some users suffer the same bug on this phone.

                                      anyway, i'm getting a new phone, and it's not samsung anymore, samsung disappointed me.

                                        My battery draining problem has solved after april update now everyone can update to april security patch without hesitation
