I bought the A50 & sold it within a week as it had WiFi connectivity issues & the so called triple cameras take horrible pics, you can clearly see the distortion when you zoom in also the ultra wide lens is almost unusable in any lighting conditions the corners are washed out & it doesn't have auto shape correction feature. If you are torn between these two then I would suggest you to get the S8+ it's single camera destroys the triple cameras on the A50.

BEWARE THOUGH - If you are within the warranty period then this will void warranty as Knox will be tripped.

Anonymous, 16 Nov 2019Contact your service provider this is not phone's fault it ... moreI have consult already with nearest service center and changed my sim too but problem is same like previous and they said that this problem arises because of this phone came from foregin country. And while i want to update my phone, "your current software version isn't supported, visit a service center" is display on the screen. Can SOFTWARE be the problem for network problem issue. IF then What is the solution? Plz give me proper solution.

The S8 Plus is still a great phone, although you should be made aware (if you are not already) that the S8's have had their last major updates of the OS and will not receive Android 10. The phone will continue to receive monthly security updates which will eventually change to quarterly updates (date unknown) So if this is important to you then its worth weighing this up when considering your options..... but as I said the S8 plus stiil performs well today.

codeluanda, 28 Dec 2019I am looking to have this device, anyone heard about overhe... moreNo, i have owned the phone since the day it launched and have been visiting S8 and S8 Plus forums since then and this is not a common theme. You may find a few isolated cases but its cwrtainly not the norm.
I would honestly hand on heart tell you if this was a widespread issue and just going back through the comments on here will back this up. Sure, if you are playing VR games for example and pushing the phone to its limit then the phone will tend to heat up as i woild expect with any smartphone on the market but during normal usage you should not run into issues such as this.

Same king, 27 Dec 2019Any improprement ?I can't say that I have noticed any improvement at all tbh but more importantly there is certainly no decline in performance since the update. Phone is still performing very well since updating I'm pleased to say. All good :D

I've had my S8+ since 2017 and it stopped fast charging and so I bought a new cable without the physical plug. Got two stock Samsung ones on Amazon for like $5 and that solved the issue

Anonymous, 24 Dec 2019My s8 plus is not fast charging anymore is it with me only ... moreShould not be anything too serious. If you have cleaned the charging port out and yoi are still having the same issues then I would suggest buying a new cable which should rectify the issue.
I've had to change my cable twice since i bought the phone at launch as I was having the same issues as yourself.......happy to say the issue was resolved.

Battery life between 20-0% was non-existent. Much better now after update and almost as a new phone again. Suspecting planned obsolescent.
