Well, this latest random update that happened in August? Fcked up thr phone bad.. thanks samsung.. trolls.
It drains more out of nowhere, and i cleared cache, rebuild apps and what not.. fail. Will not buy a new samsung anymore, that's for sure. I know people keep saying that, but now I finally see it is true.

After only 1 year, I had to give up my galaxy s9. Such a shame because it was a lovely phone in some aspects - superb finish, beautiful screen and great performance. But the downsides were massive. Battery was a literal joke (had to charge 2-3 times a day at least and still be very careful about battery usage). Very fragile glass that kept cracking even though I had it in the plastic case that comes with it, though I admit it wasn't probably the best phone case for it. Screen would scratch sometimes by just putting it in my pocket. In the end a piece of the front glass came apart, making the top of the screen useless, which is why i had to switch phones. Don't get this phone in 2022, the s9+ would've been better I think.

Samsung Galaxy S9 was the best phone they ever made. Every phone since has been a major backwards step.

A cool phone overall. But back in 2019 when I had bought myself this piece I was telling my brother that the first thing that would sure break down would be the identical keys on both the sides. In 2022 as I'm still using the same phone my side keys have come off and on top of that I hardly have any other issues with the phone (taking out battery drainage out of the equation cause it's been a while that I bought it and makes sense). Only because of the missing side keys I'm on gsmarena again looking for a new phone 3 years later. I wouldn't have decided to change to a new one just yet if I could replace the keys..but unfortunately none are available in the local market right now.

Bought my S9 within a month of its release. Been a great, trouble free device. Never had one issue with it. Bummer updates are done but that's technology for you - it all becomes outdated. To this day, the battery still goes a complete day, and then some. Thanks Samsung!

Galaxy Advice, 31 May 2022We recommend the S9 for various purposes. I actually use it... moreI do not recommend the s9 or s9+. I rather recommend a32 a52 a72 a12 a02 a03 a13 a33 a23 a53 a73 s22 or new Samsung Galaxy phone than that. Battery life is not good. Camera is also below average. Not gonna recommend it. I could give it a 3/10 rating.

I've had this phone for 3 and a half years. HEAVY corporate and private use, two sims on standby 24/7 and ENDLESS hours talking. NEVER once lagged or froze, in fact it's the ONLY phone I've haven't done a factory reset ever.
Battery life isn't great but I do use it all the time. Heating is an issue but nothing I can't lve with. I did have to change the battery at Samsung for 45 euros (that included a full reseal kit) which brought it back to new condition.
Glass is rather hard back and front and I have dropped it several times (in a Samsung cover) with no damage. Sometimes falling flat on the screen.
Until this morning, when it hit a rock. Still have lmited use of the screen despite a huge crack and a spider web. I just ordered a S10+ but I'm fixing the S9 anyway.

It is a bad phone in my opinion - 12 megapixel camera, some older Samsung Galaxy phones are more camera resolution (e.g. Samsung Galaxy Camera, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S5, Galaxy A5, Galaxy A5 Duos, Galaxy A7, Galaxy A7 Duos, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy Note 5) than that Samsung Galaxy s9 phone. If you want to be a photographer do not buy this phone.
