Anonymous, 25 Apr 2020Quote: "If you want fast Android updates, buy the latest Go... moreLook, as I said, you are making a big fuss about android updates knowing so well that it has NEVER EVER BEEN android's strongest 'feature' unless you own a Google device.

Yes, even android one devices aren't spared from delayed software version updates partly because Google has doesn't have COMPLETE control of android one devices not like Pixel phones. But still, those devices have the FASTEST, TIMELY MONTHLY security updates (even if the Android version doesn't get updated as fast).

If you don't know already, Samsung is actually up there with the better manufacturers that provide faster updates compared to others. If it's too slow to you, just DUMP your S5e, donate it to charity, or sell it and get back to the crippled, superfast SOFTWARE UPDATES of your IPAD/Apple device.

Anonymous, 25 Apr 2020You are so pathetic that you have to make me look like a li... moreNEVER USED THAT word but YES, you appeared like one due to your utter ignorance. I never said the provided adapter was a splitter. It's a converter that converts USB-C to 3.5mm. If you want to charge tablet WHILE listening to music at the same time, I already mentioned it: You buy a cheap adapter that splits USB-C to a 3.5mm jack plus USB-C adapter.

Regarding Windows PC's being a seamless experience with Android tablets, you need to connect the tablet with the USB cable and voila! You can view the entire Android file system of the both the tablet's internal and external (micro sd) memory eith Windows explorer and DO ANYTHING you want! Not like your CRIPPLED iPAD or IOS device! With the provided cable, you don't need ANY SOFTWARE in windows.

If you want wireless transfers, you just download an android app and follow instructions for PC transfer! But seriously, why would you go wireless when the tablet has USB-C 3.1 which provides you with the fastest file transfer you can imagine. If you don't know how it's done, search Google! That's what happens if you've been using a dumb iOS/iPadOS for so long.

Regarding internal storage, again you're making a big fuss regarding storage speeds. The tablet can read and write 4K movies without hiccups or problems and load apps and games sufficiently fast - not the fastest, but it's not as agonizingly slow as you make it appear. Besides, who would use a 10.5" tablet for gaming when the huge 10.5" screen is so cumbersome to hold and tap/touch for gaming. You're a heavy gamer? Better use a big screen phone than waste money on a big screen tablet than isn't designed for convenient touchscreen gaming at all! But if you insist, you can actually buy peripherals (Ex. joystick/game controllers) for Android and they are super cheap with lots of choices and flexibility. You can't say the same for Apple devices where everything is outrageously overpriced!

S5e is a great tablet for regular users. What can't you do on it because it still has android 9 ?
Do you think android 10 will make it grow wings or cook food by its own ?! Do you really need security updates monthly ? what for, do you really think you can't get viruses or what because of an update ? The best security is a smart user who does not install shady apps or websites.
What jelly scrolling ? I have a Note 10+ and can't see any difference when scrolling.
If you give me that iPad as a gift i would sell it and buy S5e or S6.
I love the screen and 4 speakers. 4gb RAM and the CPU is fast enough for average user.
Excelent for movies, browsing, social apps and medium games.

Android ONE? Like Xiaomi's A3 which is just now getting Android 10?

iPad Pro? I clearly wrote iPad 9.7 2018, unable to read or comprehend?

Project mainline basically made updates way faster. Samsung however doesn't care. Monthly security updates are also not a lot to ask for is it? Atleast they wouldn't have to worry about that with Android 10 and project treble.

Anonymous, 25 Apr 2020Regarding your other concerns, you are making a big fuss ab... moreYou are so pathetic that you have to make me look like a liar. The usb-c adapter is NOT a splitter. I can't charge and use headphones at the same time, can I? I bought Galaxy Buds because there is no headphone jack, still a nice thing to have.

I am also NOT talking about SDXC cards. The INTERNAL storage is as slow as SD cards, do you get it now? Probably not. You don't even seem to know about SSD protocols.

It does NOT have "seemless" Windows integration you clown. You have to download their software or use a cable if you don't have a Wifi card.

The jelly scrolling is present and as I wrote in PORTRAIT mode. And no, never seen that on any other tablet or phone but this. I use my Tab in landscape 99% of the time, but still annoying.

You can have a different opinion about the looks but functionally of this thing is not good. The Wifi reception is especially garbage because of the same design flaw as the iPhone 4.

Peter UK, 21 Apr 2020Can you help me with one thing please? I've been looking at... moreLatest update or not, tab S5e has Bluetooth 5.0 which means, yes, it can pair to TWO bluetooth devices simultaneously. If you have two bluetooth headphones or earbuds, YES you can pair both simultaneously to this tablet and hear the same music or movie.

Both bluetooth devices will receive the sound within a fraction of a second of each other (one slightly ahead or later by a fraction of a second). The amount of delay (latency) of one device over the other is insignificant if you are using all Bluetooth 5.0 devices. If one of the devices is bluetooth 4.x or earlier, it will be a fraction of a second behind the device which has bluetooth 5.0. Still it's a very small difference you can watch a movie with a friend without either of you noticing a video-audio sync problem.

What ... moreRegarding your other concerns, you are making a big fuss about headphone jack, storage and purported jelly scroll which have never been an issue for many users or which have been previously answered or addressed. READ THE PREVIOUS POSTS.

If you are too IGNORANT to understand Android's eccentricities - like using FAKE micro sd or wrong slow speed micro sd card can cause tablet slow down and using an ADAPTER for the missing headphone jack is just a simple plug and play experience, then you should go back to your crippled iPad!

Come to think of it, I SERIOUSLY DOUBT you OWN this tablet.

If you did, how can you be too ignorant so as to NOT SEE and KNOW that this tablet actually COMES PROVIDED with wired Samsung earbuds AND Samsung USB C to 3.5mm adapter out of the box and that it is as simple to use as plug and play?

You can even use your wired audiophile grade headphones with it and its got Dolby Atmos with quad speakers and a gorgeous wide-screen amoled display for the perfect movie and music and photo browsing experience! (Not like your squarish iPad screen with HUGE BLACK BARS galore!)

And not to mention because it's android, it's got seamless WINDOWS PC compatibility that you can transfer files seamlessly and even use your PC's wired keyboard and mouse for typing Microsoft documents on the go and then wirelessly screen sharing everything on a projector or big screen tv for productivity and business presentations! Not like your crippled iPad pro that needs Apple tv and needs you to buy lots of overpriced Apple branded accessories just so to make the experience LESS CRIPPLING (but stll crippled anyway)!

And we're not talking yet about the suffocating, jurassic walled garden Apple experience! Just do a search here or read comments from the previous pages so I don't have to educated another naive iOS/iPadOS user like you!

You moved to ANDROID but EXPECTED updates that are as TIMELY and FAST as in iOS/iPadOS? To educate you, let me tell you GOOGLE makes and owns Android and OEMs like Samsung ADD their own Android skins. And Android manufacturers make MANY device models, mind you with varying hardware configurations and many are actually WORSE than Samsung! If you want fast Android updates, buy the latest Google Pixel phone or buy an Android One device or GO BACK TO YOUR CRIPPLED IPAD PRO.

What makes you think you have to buy an iPad Pro? They have cheaper iPad options than this and as an entertainment tablet they work way better in my experience.

This thing lacks processing power to even be used for anything but videos and browsing. The storage is also slow eMMC, but Apple's cheapest iPad has NVMe. Combine that with the processing power and you have a better deal if you for example make GIFs with screen recorder like me.

I basically sold my iPad 9.7 2018 for this and what did I get? No monthly security updates, no headphone jack, slow storage, bad quality AMOLED panel with color shift and jelly scrolling. I don't like iOS or iPadOS more than Android but Samsung is not delivering a good experience. This thing froze on me when setting it up out of the box, never happens with Apple. Keep in mind I even pre-ordered this and know the software experience since the beginning.

This tab would've been perfect with s pen support but Samsung artificially held it back. Even Huawei offers pen support on its 200 buck m5 lite. Quite disgusting product politics. As if Android tablets didn't have it hard enough already. Also no headphone jack.

All in all, a useless tablet for students.

Color shift upon tilting is actually for me, a more annoying issue but which you can correct/improve with color adjustments. Ipad is not better. I'll never replace software update support with a suffocating iOS/iPadOS experience not to mention severe lack of options - micro sd expansion, better wider aspect ratio amoled screen for media consumption (photod/movies - thr main reason for the big screen), excellent compatibility with smart TV's and PC's and external devices.
