The tablet doesnt have a 3.5mm jack for earphones, but comes with a usb-c adapter that allows you to use earphones.

There is not proper competition except for iPad's. Try your luck with the display.

So about the jack... Compared it to my S2 ve, which is 0.1mm thicker, and does have one. The S5e is more rounded, while the S2 is more like a brick (a very thun brick). So it looks like the S5e is too thin fir a headphone jack, bit it should be possible

The battery was ... more10h down to 8h could also be due to changes in the battery optimization which can change with new software updates. The newest software update for the tab S5e improved fluidity and minimized stutters/freezes. Possibly less throttling I suppose with the newer software version and hence more battery drain. That, and off course, natural battery wear and tear. Lithium ion is cheaper than lithium polymer (which is still a lithium ion but with polymer rather than liquid electrolyte), but longevity wise, there shouldn't be much difference assuming they're made up to the same high quality standards. Quality can vary from one manufacturer to another and so you can get good longevity from both technolgies and equally poor longevity depending on the manufacturing quality.

The battery was lasting like 10h on video playback (real world) and after 3 or 4 months it was at 8h. Pretty much my experience with Samsung phones aswell. I'm sure it's because of the old lithium ion tech. Had phones with lithium polymer batteries and they didn't drop in performance like that.

AnonD-908380, 25 Jan 2020I assumed the screen looks green when turned off because of... moreBattery dropping heavily in a new device is mostly caused by corrupted internal storage, apps and/or corrupted micro sd storage. If an android phone or tablet begins to drain battery heavily accompanied more battery heating, my immediate suggestions would always be to 1: factory reset the phone/tablet and 2: reformat the micro sd card. I've had two android phones behaving this way after an android software update and after major changes to Google play store and Google play services.

AnonD-908380, 06 Feb 2020The screen is actually of bad quality since they streamline... moreMine also had nasty amoled color shift upon tilting: green magenta shift. Fortunately, color level adjustments to Samsung's built in RGB adjustments made it less visible, plus I also further correct the oversaturated amoled colors with 'Color Calibrator' (free app in Google playstore) . If not, I would have returned it for a replacement unit with better amoled screen uniformity.

Mine has terrible uniformity and insane colour shift at the slightest change of viewing angle. The Tab S6 probably has better binned OLED panels.
Everything else you said is true though. I actually switched from an iPad 9.7 2017 or 18 and because of Android alone I wouldn't switch back.
