this looks like a nice tablet except for the TFT screen. I hope the next tab S8 FE come with at least a top level IPS display with 144Hz and dolby vision of 10bits. People buy tablets for media consumption and samsung should give us the best display possible.

I have been using this Tablet since December 2021 and I have to say, this is a pretty solid tablet for productivity. I got it on sale at $430 (converted) and it's hard to argue with the price when I'm getting a large tablet with a decent processor and a pressure sensitive stylus, and an iPad + Apple Pencil equivalent was a bit too expensive for me.
I have been using a lot mainly for drawing, online classes, taking notes in classes and watching Netflix and Youtube, and sometimes I use it to do work on Word, playing games on-the-go and reading. I also bought a bluetooth mechanical keyboard with it for typing and drawing gloves for drawing.
I don't think the TFT screen is such a bad thing, sure it's not as crisp as AMOLED, but considering my S20 has burn marks even as I am trying to conserve the screen to avoid burning, and that drawing uses a lot of screentime, it's a fair trade-off I'm happy to take for a lower price and longevity. Though granted, the colours are pretty good especially for a TFT panel.
I only wished I had opted for the 128GB version instead of the 64GB, the 4GB RAM does take a toll while playing games, but it isn't a huge issue as I rarely play games there.
Other than that, really happy with my Tab S7 FE. Worth purchasing if you can find the right price, MSRP is still too high.

this probably won't replace a desktop.
However, for a basic office station, this device is more than capable of handling MS Office, and most other desktop demands.
I am using a Note 10 as my daily work space via dex and Samsung has come a long way with DEX mode.

I had the same but it got very slow after 3-4 years and there were no android updates. I think apple tablets have better performance on prolonged usage.

funny, that wifi model has better cpu and gpu than 5g model.

Why put 5G with a weaker chipset and GPU? I mean c'mon... With places where 5G is yet to be an option, this LTE wouldn't be much of good option tbh.
