The colors matched my AMOLED phone nearly perfectly, but the Tab S9 had no punch, looked almost like a gray filter on top. Some leakster has tweeted about it. The Fold 5 has this exact problem. No idea what's going on.

Look to see if there's a power saving switch for the display, those modes often wash out vibrance to run the display with less power. I wouldn't be surprised if eye comfort automatically disables any power saving display mode as a side effect.

For instance, the colors my two Tab S9 screens show looks like my Tab S8+ did and also how my Tab s9+ and S23+ looks. They look very similar. Comparing Vivid to vivid and natural to natural.

a) it's using 10% battery for every hour of video with 60Hz setting on. Brightness is at 0-10% btw.
b) the colors on my unit are washed out and look terrible. The vivid color option compares to natural mode on older units. Everything looks gray and lifeless.
c) at an msrp of €900 this should not be the case. Tablets with older less efficient SoC's and IPS displays have around 4 hours more screen on time, for basically the same battery capacity.

Over 6Ghz WiFi 6E, I've had no issues streaming any UHD/HD/HDR content with my Tab S9 tablets. And, in my use, my two Tab S9 tablets have longer battery life than my Tab S8 had. They are getting close to the extremely long battery life my Tab S7 FE tablets get. I'll typically go twelve to fourteen days between charging my Tab S7 FE tablets.

And there is a big difference in battery life between my two new Tab S9 tablets and my old Tab S8 tablet. I'm seeing a 20% to 25% longer battery life with the way I use them. It's now getting close to the very long battery life that my Tab S7 FE tablets have.
Like with the S23 line, the longer battery life is mostly attributed to the more efficient Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Between the newer SoC and also being made by TSMC, with it's better manufacturing process. It is more efficient than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 that was made by Samsung. That was in the S22 line and the Tab S8 line.
Samsung has another sale this weekend. And they are now giving $500 trade in value for Tab S7 FE tablets(much better than the $350 they were giving a month ago). So I'm trading in my last two Tab S7 FE tablets for another 256GB Tab S9. And also another Tab S9+.
TopCashBack also has 12% cash back from Samsung right now. Bringing my total out pocket cost for the Tab S9 to only around $280, after taxes..
Assuming FedEX doesn't lose my trade in. They lost my Galaxy Watch4 trade in, for my Galaxy Watch6. I still need to contact Samsung about it.

The colors also seemed off for me and I already had to slide green to the third lowest value. Even with that, everything looks grayish compared to my phone and old Tab S5e. I feel like they used the cheapest and worst displays they had left. Might return it for good now.

Battery life is pretty bad, and now I'm looking for alternatives. Even at €700 with rebates and trade-in, it's not worth it. Can't even handle video streaming efficiently. I won't need the free 12GB RAM upgrade if it can't even last longer than 8 hours at 60Hz watching videos...

My 2.5 year old 11' Tab S7 gives me 1.5hrs more SOT per charge than my 11" Tab S9. The Tab S9 may have a bigger battery but it isn't big enough! The battery life is mediocre at best, returning 7-8 hours of SOT when doing basic web surfing and watching YouTube videos. Check out the German tech site Chip.de review.

Got to say, battery life is not great even with 60Hz max. I get around 8-9h watching videos. It has a larger battery by 87% compared to my A52, and only 14% more pixels, yet I get the same SOT.
I was hoping for a little bit more efficiency but atleast everything is snappy and smooth.
