Love this tab got it 2 months ago still very fast for me! You can get a day out of it or more with heavy use amazing display to very smooth! Pretty bright and amazing colors! For someone who wants a classic tablet with amazing display buy this!

It's super easy as going into download mode and flashing TWRP via Odin.
There's no excuses not to, as the ROM has always been updated on a weekly basis for years.

Isn't anyone concerned about being easily hacked, since it is no longer supported and has Android version 6, which is several iterations behind? I have the wi-fi model and keep my wireless router's firmware is automatically updated, and I have anti-virus protection on the tablet, but still, with such an old version of Android, it seems that it would be very susceptible to intrusion

I've had this tablet since it first came out,and I have to say it hasn't let me down once and I still love it now after all these years,it still feels like it's upto date with everything I need it to do,and the best thing I love about this tablet is that I don't have a upto date smart tv but I do have a cable to plug it into my tv so that I can stream everything from it,my opinion is I think this is the best tablet over the years that samsung has made,I won't be replacing mine anytime soon

this tab is the best.
i've had it since 2014. Its seen my bachelor life (reading comics, movies on the go, semi-work station), my married/dating life (movies, netflix, skype), and now its gone through entertaining my 2nd child with youtube. Plus my wife and i still use it daily for reading and movies.
Hint: reset it every 6 months and saved all files to the external SD card.

Had this device for about 5 years. Recently it really struggled with processing speed, but I did a facory reset to get rid of all those buggy and corrupt files and old apps that slow the system down over time. Now its as good as new! I was considering getting a new Tab, but unless you're going to buy high-end and have money to burn, most tablets on sale today have specs that still (even after 5 years) dont come near to the Tab S (AMOLED Screen, resolution, processor and RAM). Even some high-end ones aren't a million miles away in these specifiactions.
The only thing thats better on these newer Tabs are the cameras, new gimmicks and newer OS, but if you can live without the bells and whistles, stick with what you've got and do a factory reset.

I like this device but it is already very slow and lagging. When i bought it 4 years ago it was working much better and faster. In my opinion one of the reason is intentional slowing system by the producent, causing wonder of user to buy a new device.

I have had my Tab S since August 2014 and so far all is going well ,I only had 1 problem with the update to Android 6 MM,where soon after the update my tab went from being charged once x day to 3 charges in 1 day I thought that the Tab was broken but after a few days the tab went back to normal ,I use it every day to read articles on the web,I would be lost without my trusty Tab S, thanks Samsung for a awesome Product

the wlan of mine has stopped working with wi-fi 6 router if the ax standard is on. any idea how could this problem be eliminated? intel wlan cards with old driver did the same thing, but on desktop one can update the wlan driver easily.

I've had this since it came out. Works absolutely brilliantly same as my Samsung Galaxy Note II. Never any problems with either of them.

This Galaxy Tab S is exclusively amazing. It has wide amoled screen and classy resolutions also with long lasting battery life. Love this gadget.

Erik, 27 May 2018Lucky thè Tab S4 will be 10.5 inch again.Sammy lost money with the other tabs they bought out after tab S cause of low resolution screen.....so the S4 will sell if it's as good as my 10.5 tab S.... but is it worth the update... mine still like new!!
