Last week I noticed some Scandinavian webshops had started to sell an official Samsung case for the XCover6 Pro - "Smartcase", item EF-PG736CBEBWW. I got one together with some accessories to see what it is like.

The case itself is a simple piece of black plastic with cutouts where they are needed. Its main advantage are cutouts for the pogo pins, something cases rarely have. RAM Mounts has announced a charger and a car dock compatible with this specific case.

The back of the case has a square cavity for attaching case accessories. Available options are a belt clip and a plastic spiral lanyard strap. They hook into the cavity using two spring-loaded hooks that can be released again with buttons on the side. Seems fairly solid, though I do not really see myself using either accessory. When not in use the mounting cavity can be filled with an included rubber plug.

An issue I have with this feature is that the accessory mounting point is not flush with the back of the case - plugged or not, it is a raised bump in the middle of the case, about 2 millimeters, similar to a camera bump. As a result the phone will easily wobble when you want it flat on the table.

Overall I will stick to my Spigen case for now, as I find its integrated stand useful for video meetings on the go. I do like the car mount option though, something I will consider for my Land Rover that has no built-in screen.

Fast charge, no I'd swap with fully charged battery under a minute. People don't even have this much common sense nowadays.

You want a phone that can do the impossible with an amazing camera, chipset, battery life, use underwater or take a fall or throw. Then look at ULEFONE, Doogee, Blackview, or just search (GT phones or Rugged phones). Some of them have battery life that can last a week and they are made for survival, unlocked, and gaming, etc. You wouldn't believe the prices!

Thus far this Xcover series for Samsung has been a hugely missed opportunity for 2 things; a) lack of model choices (need just 2 a not so weak low end and a proper PRO) and b) 4000mAh for a rugged line is a nono, has to be AT LEAST 6000mAh and up.

What opportunity I mean? As a proper rival against these Chinese brands; Oukitel, Ulefone, Blackview, Umidigi etc. These brands' Achilles heel no.1 and 2; after sales support and software updates, the 2 things that Samsung obviously are far better resourced at. They're only good at releasing phones as fast as they could with aggressive pricings but again w/ that annoying ship back to reseller RMAs and good luck if a phone bought will ever get past 2 updates.

Samsung should just shrink the A, M, and F lines to make for better Xcovers imho.

I have personally experienced this on a previous phone. That's why many of us are hoping someone will be able to directly confirm from the phone in their hand which bands are enabled on the U.S. version.

Hope they sell this on SEA Region! Will instabuy one even if its gonna be slightly expensive, I dont care as what I want is it having all feature or functionality. IP68, sdcard slot, 3.5mm jack & last but not the least the rare of rare "easily removable/replaceable batteries"!

I'm pretty sure this has already been posted, but here is the fccid page in case that helps. https://fcc.repo rt/FCC-ID/A3LSMG736U/
