How is the battery life on this compared to the original xcover pro?

And I still think it's a crock of shit that a phone that is suppose to appeal to those that live very active lifestyles, yet it has no fm radio chip,

    I think all the smartphones with a price >180 € for the non-IP55, IP67, IP68, etc and >220 € for the IP55, IP67, IP68, etc should have >=8 GB RAM and >=256 GB non-volatile storage.

      Anonymous, 02 Dec 2022This phone proves that Samsung has no problem giving wired ... moreThat is why I still highly rate the 2020 LG Velvet 5G as my top favourite upper-midrange smartphone that ever exists to date. LG has shown that the Snapdragon 765G SoC is still more than capable of being a pocket computer with Screen+ Desktop Mode. I own the Wing 5G, which runs on the same SoC as the Velvet 5G, and I can truly attest to that statement. Plus, you get stylus support, which Samsung doesn't ever think to do with their Galaxy A phones. Times like this make me truly miss LG in the smartphone market. I love their bravery in being different from the rest of the field.

        Anonymous, 10 Feb 2023Funnily enough, I've been running AetherSX2 just fine ... moreAnd yet some people continuously claim that user-replaceable batteries cause damage to the phone. God knows how much I cringed from reading such nonsense. 🤦‍♂️

          this smartphone has a dedicated light sensor for screen auto brightness and is not using the front camera as a light sensor... this explains why its screen auto brightness works well.

              Wally, 03 Mar 2023Why there is No Radio ?2020 “Share of Ear” report says terrestrial radio accounts for 39% of audio consumption.
              In other words, 3 years ago radio was only listened to by a minority of people. Radio's marketshare has been falling for years and will likely continue to do so. Furthermore, this is an enterprise focused phone, not consumer. If the enterprise segment was telling Samsung that including a radio was important then I'm sure they would have just left it in. But, the very fact that they removed it pretty much proves it wasn't considered an important feature to the majority of people who would be buying this phone.

                Ram for making the system smoothly and stability bandwidth having lots stuff opon at the same time
                And opening browser taps and stuff

                Plus ram amount capacity not even the most expensive components in a smartphone

                So huge benefit from extra ram amount can be cheaply

                    its mechanism inside are delicate and complex. so OIS camera on rugged phone defeats its purpose. people shouldnt expect much on those xcover phones when it comes to camera. at the same specs as xcover 6 pro, i suggested them a52s.

                          Why don't they release higher end phones with better chip and cameras like this? With rugged build, headphone jack and microSD card? Of course it will "limit" their profit. They dropped S Active Series for this same reason.

                                Very decent phone, upgraded from my old LG K20 plus so having a user-replaceable battery is one of those things that I can't live without. It is nice to know that in 4 years when the battery is cooked, I can just pop in a new one and keep going without needing a special toolkit, heating table, and a hundred adderall.

                                        Anonymous, 31 Jan 2023😂😂😂batteries dont need to be changed each year or whatever ... moreYou pay for IP rating on sealed battery phone. And that goes away when you need to have something repaired to it. Consumers have been fooled to think sealed battery = long life when the same could be done with non sealed.

                                        Now they get fooled even more with batteries and other parts getting DRM so parts can no longer be interchanged.
