This one is clearly faulty as you would know if you had cared to read all the positive reviews.
It's a great phone for so many reasons not at least, for environmental reasons.

This phone has some SERIOUS issues. I got it issued from my work about two weeks ago over my previous Galaxy S7. It’s a definite downgrade, here’s why: It has a unique proprietary charging plug, whereas the S series of phones could be charged with the ubiquitous mini USB connections, not this. It regularly freezes and needs rebooting several times a week. The touch screen is exceptionally squirrely, sometimes I have to hit a letter or link many times for it to take, other times it jumps on its own when a finger is just hovering over something by about ½ inch. The touch issues make it REALLY hard to text or compose email. Several simple apps, such as Windfinder, won’t work on this phone. They open for about 2 seconds, then crash. I’ve also had issue with it playing audio, presumably from some video, without any apps open, I had to reboot the phone to get the playback to stop. I’ve owned several android phones and even a couple of I-phones. This is, by far, the absolute worst.

I've also had occasional security patches out of the line, I think mid-March was the last one. And the upgrade to Android 11 was pretty smooth.

Real world usage.
Still have not gotten a spare battery yet, but have not needed to.
I have had it in my ski jacket while skiing in cold temperatures all day and it has had plenty of charge left at days end. Taken a few pictures, and made a few calls from the ski mountain top. Compared to my wife's phone which died power wise before noon.
I have gotten used to the camera and I am now taking better pictures with it. (But I will never, never Samsung for skipping on the optical zoom feature here....EVER!! ;-) )
My AccuBattery app says the battery when is at 94% charged.
I will have 46 hours and 8 mins of power with the screen is off and phone is on standby.
16 hours and 11 mins with 50/50% screen on/off use.
7 hours and 7 mins with the screen on constantly.
After almost 10 months of medium to heavy use, a lot of Zoom calls..(Thanks Covid), YouTube videos, some playing games (Armada modern tanks) plus email and regular calls and texts. the battery health is at 86% or estimated battery capacity is 3402mAh ( for some reason this app puts my battery original design capacity at 3950 mAh and not the Samsung specs of 4050 mAh.
It still works fine for me as expected and does what I need. Even a fair number of drops with an Otterbox case on it. I have a crack on the glass screen protector, but on the screen. l like the push button on the top of the phone for turning on or off on the flashlight. Though I had the flashlight get bumped on in my pocket in that mode. Good thing I have a big battery!!

So 1.3 meter drop. It has been working with no issues ever since. So I say its specs are fine. :-)

Jaro, 24 Jun 2020Thats sad to hear :( I remember when I go from J5 2015 to A... moreYes, That was my thoughts. I could not have been too hard for Samesung to put into this XCover Pro the same camera system as the note 4. Then it would be perfect, rugged camera. We will see what the phone manufacturers come up in future rugged, battery removable phones. When someone comes out with a good quality camera with optical telephoto zoom (periscope?) and to add into the mix. That will sell.
If your a hiker you want to take picture of the scenery and with optical zoom you can zero in on the area you want.
But I knew the camera specs on this phone before buying and said looks like I am buying a dedicated camera for picture taking, being able to take fast pics, telephoto options and filters and etc

James128, 12 Feb 2020Thanks for the hands on review. How good is the 3.5mm socke... moreI do use the a cheap set of plug-in ear phones all the time at work. It knocks out back machinery ground noise and work as ear protection that way. I find the sound quality of the ear phones, when playing music and podcasts is just fine.
I do use the blue tooth for the a stand alone speaker. So you should have no problem with blue tooth earphones, so you get the best of both worlds.

I have just upgraded to Android 11. Seems alright so far. It took a few reboots until the phone remembered about its microSD card, which messed a bit with apps that have data there - now my music player will spend some time rebuilding its 40K track database...

Gestures also suck compared to physical buttons.
