damn good phone .its unbelievable that its so cheap.
would have added a frontal cam .but still its in the leagueof the highend phones

I have been using this model 4 last few days. however the problem is that i had been told that i could use this model as a modem too with teethering for my laptop. Could somebody guide me on this aspect. Thanks in advance.....

Sanny, 26 Jan 2012I'm thinking of buying this handset. But, after reading the... moreI have been using galaxy y about two weeks now, I haven't faced any problem with low battery backup and all... The the only problem is that the sd card un mounts automatically about twice a day.... but again in a minute or tWo it automatically becomes normal. And about battery backup, if you use too much internet in your phone then battery drain will be fast (i mean only internet via wifi and nothing else) then it will drain fully after 4 hours~5 hours but if you are using ut as a phone with phone calling sms and about one hour internet per day then battery well last about one and half day without any headache :)
And the phone is blazing fast best in its class... My friends who have samsung galaxy ace did a hand on of my phone and said its faster then his galaxy ace :D

I had a doing whether it will work or not... But ut worked very well :)

Guys dont worry about battery life. Because high capacity external batteries are available in market. Go and buy it.

galaxy fit is a better option.. it has 1350 mah battery, lasts longer than "y"

bought this phone 2 months ago..
nice phone to have,
everythings fine about it*
except,
*battery sucks especially while using apps, the only reason i selected this phone, android 2.3 gingerbread under INR.7500/-
