Both galaxy 3 and 5 wont get froyo update according to samsung India. They're fooling their customers.

hi don't read the message me people saying battery they aren't using properly. i get the battery between 36 to 50 hours. follow the bellow given steps.
1. you must use any me the task killer i prefer advanced task killer. it has a widget keep it on home screen just click it when ever your use of some applications complete
2.try to switch off you gprs or 3g. when ever not using. you can do directly by creating dummy apn or by using apn droid application.
3. if you don't use much of mail try to switch me synchronize Atleast when you sleep.
4.keep the brightness to min only shift to max when outdoor in morning or watching videos else to min.
5.switch off and charge and only remove when icon shows 100 it has bit delayed charging it takes Atleast 3.5hours to charge fully better keep it when you go to sleep.
there are many else but they are hard to follow.just follow these you will get Atleast 30hrs me battery for sure i can say that for sure

Samsung Galaxy 3 GT-I5801
This phones battery performance is very very poor. It takes more than 3.30hrs to get fully charged. The power doesn't last even a day. When it reaches 50%, chances are that it may go down to 5% very shortly. Samsung has released the phone without proper factory testing. Samsung claims it is a powerful battery but what is the use. I have followed all battery calliberation methods while charging but of no use. Fresh buyers be cautious about this problem with the phone. I think samsung will stop production of this model all of sudden. It is better for samsung if they follow stringent factory testings before it reaches stores.

Anybody on mumbai Vodafone? I got the pho the same time it was launched in india. Was on airtel initially. It was working fine no call drops at all. Had changed over to Vodafone corpiorate plan. Moment data plan was activatedmail major call drop every 2-3 mins. Now i have deactivated data there is no call drop. Anybody with similar
issue? Two of my other friends are also having similar problem and Both have Vodafone. Hope its not a phone problem.....

shylo, 27 Oct 2010For all awaiting Froyo Update:= Samsung Galaxy 3 GT-5801... moredude, the meaning of the mail you received is that, it can be upgraded to froyo but not gingerbread. I.e it is upgraded in 2 versions but not to the higher version I.e 3.0 or 3.5 etc. I. too thought the same way you were thinking.

hey guys and gals dont worry if company had launched the phone saying tt thy will update the phone so thy will,othr wise it will be wrong way to sell there item with false comment,don't worry till now samsung galaxy s is not been updated so how come this phone will be updated so soon,company don't reveal anything without proof,so don't worry think positive.and i don't understand y there so much shout bout froyo the only gud thing withit is apps saved in sd card.
say bout people who r using 1.6 android,2.1 is much more better than tt...
so be happy.
