I am getting very frequent call drop problems with this hand set.
It has become a nightmare receiving calls with this phone.

This is for all those who are facing battery backup problems.
I have purchased a second battery from flipkart.com for rs 490 and an external battery charger of rs 100 from local market.After doing this I am using both the batteries one by one by charging them from external charger.
One thing which I have noticed after a month is that when I charge it from the charger provided by samsung, full charge takes about 4 to 5 hrs and the backup which I get is 30-32 hrs max.but when I charge it externally it takes about 12 hrs and the backup is 50 hrs minimum. My gprs is always on, I chat about half an hour a day on gtalk, listen music about one hour, do a lot of surfing, talk about 2 hrs a day and using advanced task killer for killing tasks.

Hi I have tried new update JP9 and i want to share my feedback:
I heard that this update give a 50% battery boost but personally i felt a little improvement in battery backup and rest everything is same as in other updates except the new orange look.
And guys I don't know how you'll wrote that your battery is still 60% after 2 days of usage, and i don't access GPRS or anything in this phone just use this phone for music and calls, usually calls and at maximum the battery backup is 1 day to 1.5 day.

guys, I updated my phone to froyo i5801bvjp9. its nice
1.battery has become good
2. disc view in music player
3.scrolling is smooth in music player
4.youtube and voice search changed
5. you can now rotate map in gmaps
6 video player has changed
7 phone has become speed
8. slight modifications in internet browser
9. option to move cursor easily between letters
I have noticed only this much. I flashed just now. I will post more features and bugs present in it after some time. I have not seen any problems till now....
its easy to update. you can restore back to original 2.1 by degrading if u don't like froyo. try to upgrade. no imei lost...

I am gonna buy an android phone which be tough and should be under 12k bucks...
is samsung GTi5801 tough... because as I saw some pics so it looks like it has metallic body.. which should be tough

Rohit N, 02 Feb 2011Hi, Guys i am facing serious call drop problems from las... moreThis is not the problem of handset it is the problem of firmware.update ur firmware with unofficial froyo or wait for official froyo.there is one more way to solve ur calldrop problem ,do apn off when internet connection is not necessary.it will give u no calldrop .

If ur network signals is not good in that area try to change your service provider.
Atlast run to any samsung plaza and get your handset changed.

Thnx pravi. I was see on samsungmobile.com. They said this phn play upto 720*480 resolution. But anonymus told me this phn cannot play hd vides. But I knew it this phn play hd videos thnx bro.
