Need good gpsfix.I heard few guys getting fixed up in 5 to 10 seconds.For me the best time was within a minute.Not bad though.

krawida, 26 Sep 2010dude! first of all u need a 3g enabled sim. right now only ... moremy dear frend u dont need 3g sim ....i m using bsnl 3g since 2month n i activated on my default sim n giving me 1.5mb speed....so why u need 3g enabled sim?i knw bsnl has anounces that they hav launched 3g on new 3g sim which we need to replace but u can run 3g on ur current sim with no doubt....

I am on " EDGE " while surfing most of the time.
GPS has nothing to do with your connection (WiFi/3G).A decent speed connection is fine for it.In my case EDGE is doing the job fine.
Haven't tried "Navigation", but its (GPS) is working great on "Google maps" and "My Tracks"
** Please download "My Tracks" from Market.Its a good piece of software for GPS use.(Tracking your move and marking your path on Maps as you move)
Tells you the exact distance travelled (in Km.) ,Time taken and average speed and much more.
Time taken - It ranges from couple of minutes to 10 minutes.Sometime you won't even get fixed at some places.It depends on your Location.

It will definitely work fine with partial and frequent Charges (as you are doing right now).
Actually, frequently charging Li-ion is good for battery life.With 1 Calibration a month, I guess. ;-)

screamer, 23 Sep 2010still many asian users dont knw what is root....for live wa... morelive wallpapers come default enabled in lots of higher end phones. but for galaxy 3 what u say is true. phone has to be rooted. and also since samsung has not enabled it by default it is safe to assume that using live wallpapers ,though cool ,will use up the battery faster

I haven't played much with the formats and frame rate.But I have converted some video's (.mp4) with 480 x 272,
Bitrate - 1024, Frame rate - 24 FPS.
And they are playing GREAT on my Galaxy 3.
They are extremely "smooth" and "crisp".
I will test out other formats and res and post the results here soon.

Its tracking my moves accurately.So far seems to be good.
Working great on "Maps" and "My Tracks"
