Nikola, 11 Mar 2017How to put Lolipop 6.1 in s3 mini?1.- Root your S3 Mini (I usually use a sideloaded Kingo Root Mobile/PC version)
2.- Install Clockwork Mod from PlayStore
3.- Using CWM, patch your Recovery menu (I don't remember where is that option, but fiddle around).
4.- Download a Lollipop/Marshmallow ROM for S3 Mini (I've used CyanogenMod 12 before, but there is Carbon, SlimROM and others. Looks the one that suits you).
5.- Download the Google Apps (GAPPS) that suits your version of the OS and the amount of apps you want to download (I use Pico, that haves only Google Play and a few essentials, the others get downloaded separately)
6.- Put the GAPPS and the ROM you choose on your SD card.
7.- Hard-reset your phone (Turn phone off, hold Home, VolUp and Power keys until you hear a beep and then release the keys)
8.- Go to the Recovery Menu's Advanced options, then choose Wipe. Wipe the Cache, Dalvik and User partitions.
9.- Go back to the Advanced menu and choose Update>From External Storage>select the ROM you downloaded. You may have to follow some install menus. Choose NOT TO RESET the phone.
10.- Once the instalation program finishes, install GAPPS in the same way.
11.- Reset the phone. Enjoy your new OS.

Solid Phone, has been bullet proof I have dropped it a million times and its still going, surprisingly its only got a tiny scratch on the screen that you can barely see. Its starting to get a bit slow and struggles now with higher resolution games and the Internet, the camera gives excellent results and has lots of options the front facing camera is not so good but i have never used it, video is excellent for 720p my daughter uses it to make videos for youtube. :)

I guess it's still kinda solid phone if you get it for cheap. My sister was using it for 3 years and now she gave it to my mother and she's still using it to this day. Only thing that was changed was battery because it basically died, it was lasting for like half an hour before phone would shut down. Performance is not really anything special, I won't lie, I saw there's some stuttering and lag even when just going through the phone, but I understand it since it's almost five years old phone now. I guess it can be better if you install custom ROM on it, since old Touchwiz was laggy on it's own. Overall, it was solid phone for it's time, but now I would only suggest it if you want to text and call, use whatsapp, viber, messanger and stuff like that, and play some light games, since I really doubt it can handle something more demanding, maybe only if you install custom ROM on it.

I tought it has something to do with the battery, as after resetting it said the batt was discharged or had some battery jumps, even when a new battery, but has nothing to do with it, given that it resets even when is plugged to the wall.
Anyone has found what happened here?

such a horrible shit, lags, no wifi, no proper gps accuracy, weak 3g/gsm sygnal, throwed him on the street after one year. Samsung is a horrible crap
